Arlecchino, The Blood Artist is the final boss of the Lies of P: Overture DLC, and he can be quite tough to take out without knowing his weaknesses. Fitting his bloodthirsty personality, Arlecchino fights like a real madpuppet. He attacks relentlessly and moves around erratically, but you can still stop him! Read on for all of our tips on his weaknesses and how to deal with his attacks.

Arlecchino, The Blood Artist Weaknesses | Lies of P: Overture

As a puppet, Arlecchino’s main weakness is any sort of Electric Blitz damage. So, it’s a good idea to bring weapons that have that effect naturally, such as the Electric Coil Stick. The Fulminis Legion Arm might also come in handy here! Alternatively, bring buff items for your non-elemental weapons such as Electric Blitz Abrasives or the Electric Blitz Grindstone.

Other items, such as Electric Blitz Canister and Throwing Cell are also solid choices here. You can just chuck them at Arlecchino to deal some strong damage from range. They’re pretty great for building up and applying the Electric Shock status effect!

Aside from Electric Shock, Arlecchino seems to also take decent damage from Acid attacks. We recommend focusing on just Electric Blitz if anything, but you might find success by using both at once to proc both Decay and Electric Shock.

Now, this isn’t one of Arlecchino’s weaknesses necessarily, but we also recommend having Purification Ampoules handy. Arlecchino’s attacks can inflict the Break status effect in phase 2, which greatly limits your healing potential. Make sure that doesn’t happen!

Other Tips for Beating Arlecchino

During phase 1, Arlecchino is a very straightforward boss. For the most part, he just tries to repeatedly do a variety of combos. You have a good attack window whenever he finishes one of these combos, so get a hit in while you can!

Ideally, you want to try Perfect Blocking Arlecchino’s combos, which can cause him to malfunction momentarily. This gives you a great chance to hit him with harder attacks or heal if needed, so it’s very rewarding. Just be careful as he can also do Fury Attacks as part of his combos. Keep an eye out for that telltale red glow.

Arlecchino Phase 2 Tips

Phase 2 is when things get crazy, although Arlecchino is still relatively straightforward. He has few gimmicks in this phase, but he makes up for it with his relentless barrage of combos and Fury Attacks. Not to mention his mobility! Like in phase 1, though, it’s ideal to try to get Perfect Blocks as much as possible.

As soon as phase 2 starts, Arlecchino will leap to the center of the arena and start a special attack. He seems to repeat this later on in the fight, particularly after he’s under 60% HP, but it’s not guaranteed.

Anyway, for this special attack he will summon 8 blood skulls which will home in on you in pairs. You can Perfect Block these skulls or dodge them. Once the skulls are done, Arlecchino will dive at you and then proceed to surround himself with a whirlwind of blood. Either get ready to Perfect Block all of it, or start running away from Arlecchino as soon as you deal with the skulls.

As for the other gimmicks, Arlecchino will almost always end combos by swiping in a wide arc in front of him or all around him. This will leave behind a red blood mist, which detonates after a brief moment. Watch out for it and be ready to dodge the detonation to avoid taking damage.

Later on in the fight, Arlecchino will also leave behind electric sawblades. These float in the air for a brief moment before starting to home in on you, similar to the blood skulls from before. Be ready to either Perfect Block or dodge as they approach you.

That’s all of our tips on how to defeat Arlecchino the Blood Artist in Lies of P: Overture and what his weaknesses are. For some extra tools, make sure to check out our guide on all the weapon and Legion Arms locations in Overture!

Gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now!
