Aurum is the premium currency in The Cycle: Frontier. One of the main ways to get it is by buying it with real money. However, the game also gives you ways to acquire it without spending cash.
That’s exactly what we’re going to cover in this guide. Here’s how you can get Aurum in the game for free.
How to Get Aurum For Free in The Cycle: Frontier

Aurum can be used to purchase cosmetics for weapons, rides, archetype cosmetics, and even entirely new archetypes in the game.
One of the biggest methods to get Aurum for free is by using the Generator which you can find inside your Personal Quarters. This thing churns out Aurum over time automatically, even while you’re offline.
But before anything else, you should first upgrade your generator using in-game resources to get more Aurum per hour.
That’s because you barely get anything at low levels. With enough upgrades, however, you can earn a rate of up to 1 Aurum per hour or even more.
I know it sounds painfully slow, but this is free Aurum you don’t have to buy.
Alternative Methods to Get Aurum for Free

While you’re still waiting for the Generator to churn out some Aurum, there are other ways to earn it. One of them is via the Fortuna Pass rewards.
The Fortuna Pass is the game’s seasonal reward track, which is essentially a battle pass. You don’t have to buy the premium track to get some Aurum.
Besides, the free track also dishes out chunks of Aurum at specific levels.
So while you don’t buy the pass, progressing the free track will drop free Aurum as you earn XP and hit tiers. On top of that, the paid track gives a lot more Aurum, which you can earn back without paying once you’ve unlocked it.
Another method is through event drops & special promotions.
Throughout the game’s run, there have been official events that gave free Aurum just for logging in or completing milestones.

A good example was the Lunar Fest event that handed out Aurum rewards up to 1000 Aurum just for successful daily evacuations during the event period.
However, such events aren’t always live, but historically, the developers have run these events with free premium currency as a reward.
A lot of players consider Aurum to be a currency you need to buy. While that’s half true, you can forgo the money spending part.
After all, the above methods provide you with real ways to grow your Aurum stash by simply playing normally and engaging with the game’s core systems.
Just expect it to be a slow grind compared to spending real money.
