Unlike other tameable creatures, such as geckos and grasshoppers, taming a ladybug doesn’t require treats.

What you want to do is to create a Workshop, if you don’t have one already. Interact with it to open the crafting menu and scroll down until you find the Ladybug Travel Kit.

To craft the Ladybug Travel Kit, you will need 3 Edible Mushrooms, 2 Nectar, and 5 Fiber.

Edible Mushrooms can be acquired by harvesting any mushroom you find in the game’s world. You will need a Hatchet to do so.

Similarly, Nectar can be obtained by knocking down Poppy flowers with a hatchet. Poppies can be found nearly anywhere in the world, so they’re easy to find.

Lastly, Fiber can be obtained by chopping down nearly every type of plant. You probably have way more than just 5 pieces of fiber by now!

With the materials in hand, simply use the workshop to craft the Ladybug Travel Kit.

All that’s left is to find a ladybug! Once you do, equip a weak weapon and attack the ladybug. Don’t kill it, but deal enough damage to leave it with about 30% or less HP.

Once its HP is low enough, the prompt to tame will appear on the screen. Press the button shown on the prompt while close to the ladybug to tame it.

You can now use your tamed ladybug as a walking chest! Just approach it and interact with it to use its storage function. It will follow you around, though be careful of bringing it near hostile creatures.
