But if you don’t know how to craft one, this guide will help you out!

To start crafting potions, you first need to build an Apothecary Station. You can build it using 5 Stones, 10 Refined Wood, and 5 Bark.

Since it requires Refined Wood, you will need to use a Stonecutter. If you don’t have one yet, you will need to build it as well. Most potions require Seed Oil anyway which is also refined at the Stonecutter.

When you’ve got your Apothecary Table, just approach it and interact with it. You will get a list of all the known potion recipes.

You can unlock more recipes may unlock as you find materials and speak with NPCs.

Most potions come in three levels: Lesser, Normal, and Greater.

Lesser potions aren’t worth it most of the time. Standard variants barely require more materials, yet are twice as powerful.

As an example, the standard Health Elixir heals twice as much HP as the lesser version, yet only needs one more Nectar!

On the other hand, Greater variants require too much to be worth it in comparison. Whether by requiring more materials or needing rarer materials, they just aren’t worth the effort usually.

Ultimately, you want to get the standard potions whenever possible. They are simply the most efficient.

However, there are other potions that only have one variant such as the Jester Brew and Blood Potion. You’re better off ignoring the Jester Brew as its effects are completely random, so you might waste resources making a harmful potion.

The Blood Potion, on the other hand, is fairly useful but not significant. It increases your movement speed which is especially important when wearing heavy armor. Sadly, it’s just a small increase.

In conclusion, the three best potions are the standard Health Elixir, Stamina Tonic, and Poison Resistance Brew. Cook up a few batches of these and have them ready in case of emergency!
