Slime Rancher 2: How to Get to The Other Islands

Slime Rancher 2 is a sequel to the first Slime Rancher by Monomi Park. This game is about collecting, feeding, and taking care of your slimes inside this alien planet called Far, Far Range. You can continue collecting slimes of different kinds by exploring other map locations wherein new types of slimes are inhabiting.

However, traveling from one place to another is not that easy in Slime Rancher 2. You cannot just walk your way to the other island. And that is one of the problems of new players of Slime Rancher 2.

To reach other islands if you want to discover new types of slimes and gather items, resources, and materials, you have to find the Gordo Slimes guarding your access to the other side of the map.

How to Get to The Other Islands in Slime Rancher 2

Slime Rancher 2 is a newly released game to continue your journey outside the Earth in taking care of these cute slimes. This also involves you exploring the map to discover new species. However, because of being a new game, the islands that you can travel to on the map are still limited.

For this version, the two islands that you can travel to are the Ember Valley and the Starlight Strand.

How to Get to the Ember Valley

For you to be able to arrive at the first island, Ember Valley, you have to go to the north of the Refinery area in the Rainbow Fields. Once you reach the place, you will encounter large numbers of pink slimes there. Explore the area and you will see the Pink Gordo.

The Pink Gordo is a giant slime that blocks your access to the next island. This Gordo is stationary. It means that it doesn’t move unless it explodes from getting overfed. With that, you have to feed it 30 fruits, vegetables, or meats to pop the Gordo.

Once you successfully made the Gordo explode, you will notice that it is blocking a water geyser. Stand on that same spot and wait for the water to push you upward. While you are above, push yourself forward to reach the edge of the platform. At the end f this path, you will see a button-like structure embedded on the ground. Press this to remove the barriers and to reveal the portal to the Ember Valley.

How to Get to the Starlight Strand

For this island to be unlocked, you have to head towards the bottom of Rainbow Island. The location is on the western side of the Conservatory. Once you reach that area, you will see the Cotton Gordo. It is a giant yellow slime, that slightly resembles a bunny. You have to make this Gordo explode in order to make your way.

To do this, you have to shoot it 30 vegetables until it bursts. When it explodes, it will reveal a small space with a button on the ground. Just like the first one, press this to remove the barriers and reveal the teleporter to Strand Island.
