Roots of Pacha has a lot of animals that you can tame, but some of them will require a lot more work than others.
Horses are one of these animals that require extra effort. You can’t find horses at all until you complete the Horse Totem’s little puzzle, which presents itself as a riddle.
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to satisfy this totem so that you can find as many horses as you want.
How to Complete the Horse Totem Offering Puzzle in Roots of Pacha
The only clue you’re given for this totem is that you have to bring back “something sweet but you haven’t seen it yet.”
This is referring to Alfalfa, which is a sweet grass treat for animals. It can only be obtained once you rise the pyramid in the jungle three times.
This will require you to complete Prophecies, which is the in-game achievement system. Completing 10 Prophecies should be enough, so just focus on doing these objectives and fulfilling them.
Alfalfa will start appearing around the horse stable ruins after you’ve raised the pyramid three times. It won’t spawn until you’ve done that!
Now return to the Horse Totem and deliver some of that sweet alfalfa. Unlike other totems, you won’t need to complete any challenge. The offering itself was the challenge this time!
A new secret area will open up as your reward. This area is abundant with tall grass and clean water, and it’s also the only place where you can find horses!
Horses can be tamed just like any other animal as well: just approach them and play the flute to attune yourself to them. Complete the small rhythm minigame to successfully tame the horse.
That’s all there is to know about the horse totem and how to find horses in Roots of Pacha!
