How to Unlock Somalata Inland Sea Domain in Genshin Impact 3.6

The 3.6 update for Genshin Impact is finally available.

This new update includes three additional domains as well as tons of fresh content. One of the most recent domains that were added is the Somalata Inland Sea.

As with any domain, this one offers additional obstacles for you to overcome and serves as a useful teleport waypoint for moving more quickly over the new area.

That said, you will first need to unlock this domain by completing a challenge. If you don’t know how, this guide is for you.  

Steps for Unlocking the Somalata Inland Sea Domain in Genshin Impact 3.6

If you haven’t unlocked the southern waypoint, head south of the Vourukasha Oasis waypoint or teleport yourself to the Statue of the Seven to the west.

However, do keep in mind that there’s a minimum AR requirement to activate this special domain. Specifically, you must be AR 40 or higher to unlock it.

As soon as you enter the property, you will see a number of Dendro monuments close to the stone walls, each with a bird painting and dots.

The new Somalata Inland Sea domain is challenging to complete since it requires Dendro characters to activate the monuments in the proper order.

Thankfully, the paintings offer hints as to the right sequence to solve it.

In order to activate the monuments in the correct order, use your Dendro abilities to establish the ascending sequence by following the dots on the murals.

After a brief cutscene is triggered by finishing the puzzle, you can communicate with the domain to unlock it.

You will run into several opponents. To clear the domain, you will need to defeat all of the monsters instead. Doing so will grant you a bunch of rewards, especially for completing the challenge for the first time.
