How to Get & Use the Green Obsidian Ring
The only way to get the Green Obsidian Ring in Genshin Impact is to use 3 Green Obsidian Fragments to craft it. The bad news is that Green Obsidian Fragments are completely random. There are no set spots for you to get them. Instead, you will need to hope that you get them whenever you open Luxurious and Precious Chests or complete Warrior’s Challenges.

More specifically, you’ll need to open the chests and complete the challenges within the Coatepec Mountain area of the Natlan region. You can see all of the locations for Luxurious and Precious Chests in the map above, as well as the location for Warrior’s Challenges. Use Teleport Waypoints and Statue of the Seven markers for reference and fast travel.
It’s also worth noting that not all chests will be out in the open for you to grab. Some of them will require you to complete puzzles, such as the 7 Monetoo puzzle in an underground cave.
Ultimately, you’ll just need luck and patience to get all the 3 Green Obsidian Fragments. When you do get them, open your inventory and look for your Green Obsidian Fragments. Simply click on “Craft” to turn them into the Green Obsidian Ring.
Opening the Scions of the Canopy Trove
Once you have the Green Obsidian Ring, you can use it to open the Scions of the Canopy tribe’s trove. To start, travel to the Statue of the Seven in Coatepec Mountain.
From the Statue of the Seven, head directly east toward the long wooden bridge between the cliffs.
Once you’re nearing the southern end of the bridge, look down and you should spot a golden barrier.
Approach the barrier and interact with it to be able to use the Green Obsidian Ring. Do so and you’ll be able to enter the trove and get a lot of fantastic loot. Most notably, this is one of the few places where you can get a Sanctifying Elixir!
