Wolf Spiders are one of the many creatures you can tame in Smalland: Survive the Wilds. Once tamed, you can then use them as a mount. They can traverse steep inclines and are also faster than walking.
If you want to get your own mount now, this guide will show you how to tame them!
Tips for Taming Wolf Spiders in Smalland: Survive the Wilds
To tame Wolf Spiders, you first need to take out the Albino Spider boss.
To start, seek out Lisandra in the western part of the map. Exhaust her dialogue and she will tell you where the Albino Spider is located.
Prepare well, because this is a tough boss! You want to have as many potions as possible to heal and resist poison.
Once you take down this tough spider, grab the Albino Spider Eye it drops. Now head back to Lisandra and speak with her.
After informing Lisandra of the Albino Spider’s fate and giving her the eye, she will give you the recipe for the Wolf Spider Treat.
This is a recipe for the Cauldron, so you will need to build one of these crafting stations if you haven’t yet!
The recipe requires the following ingredients:
Grasshopper Leg x1 – Dropped frequently by grasshoppers.
Spider Eyes x2 – Common drop from every enemy spider.
Insect Wings x3 – Obtained from winged insects, like wasps and damselflies.
Petal x1 – Obtained by chopping flowers and flowery plants, such as Mauve Plants.
Seed Oil x2 – Obtained by refining seeds with a Stonecutter.
Once you have all the materials, bring them to your cauldron and prepare one Wolf Spider Treat.
Now, you just need to look for a wild Wolf Spider. They are commonly found in the swamp areas near Lisandra, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding one.
Note that you can’t tame nocturnal Wolf Spiders. Instead, you have to look for them during the day.
Once you find one, attack it and bring its HP under about 50%. Once it’s low enough, you will get the prompt to give it a treat. Doing so will tame it, giving you your very own pet spider!
