Though the campaign in Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 can be reminiscent of 4X games, it is still a battle simulator at hard. In order to make battles more engaging, the developers made sure to scale your power back a bit if you outnumber your enemy thanks to your economic prowess.
But don’t worry – you can still make use of your reserve ships using the reinforcement feature.
How to Call in Reinforcements in Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2
When you start battles in Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 with more than one fleet, some of your ships might not be able to participate in them.
That’s because each battle has a “point limit” that determines how many ships can take part in a battle at once. But, if you happen to have more ships in the same planet system, you can call them once some of your ships will be destroyed.
How Reinforcements Work in Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2
Once you’ll start losing ships, new ones (chosen randomly from your other fleets orbiting the system) should appear on the ship. These ships can be selected and ordered to join the battle.
They will appear on the edge of the map and once their icon will start blinking, you’ll be able to select their new destination by right-clicking the place where you want them to go.
Bugs and Glitches
Unfortunately, a lot of players seemed to encounter many problems when trying to call in their spare ships. It seems the reinforcements mechanic has a lot of problems, so if it doesn’t work the way it’s intended, it might be the game’s fault.
So, in most cases, be ready to win every battle with what you’ve got.
