Onmyoji is a fantasy turn-based strategy game set in a world heavily based in medieval Japan. Thanks to its popularity, the developers have also made a spin-off game called Onmyoji Arena, a MOBA game that features characters from the same universe.

Thanks to the game’s lackluster marketing in the west, many players mix up news regarding both of these titles. So, once word spread about Tanjiro from Demon Slayer being a playable character, many people assumed it meant the original RPG title. Unfortunately, that is not true.

But both Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko can be unlocked in Onmyoji Arean, if you’re also interested in that game.

For now, Demon slayer characters only appear in the Chinese version of the game.

So, if you want to play as Tanjiro or Nezuko, you’ll need to download the Chinese version of the game and play on the Chinese server.

There, you can simply choose Tanjiro from the list of characters of the samurai class. Nezuke is one of the support characters.

Buying Characters in Onmyoji Arena

Of course, to get most characters in the game, you’ll need to use coins. These can be obtained through various means, such as playing matches, doing guild quests, or fighting Area Bosses.

However, if you’re playing on a Chinese server, unless you were using another Asian server before, you’ll need to start the game from scratch. This includes starting with no coins at your disposal.
