ARK: Survival evolve created a new map for players called Fjordur, a mountainous map. A new map means there are new loots, items, elements, and dinosaurs to tame. One of the most epic dinosaurs to have is the Andrewsarchus. Here is how you can tame and use them for survival.
How to Tame Andrewsarchus
Taming Andrewsarchus is not an easy job; knocking them down, and even placing food in their inventory will not work. To get their attention, you must get their possession of food, the Giant Bee Honey.
You must place the Honey on your Hotbar and throw it; Andrewsarchus will aggro onto the Honey. Once they started eating the Honey, hop onto their back and play a mini-game to tame it.
How to Properly Tame it
Make sure to check the two hotbars while riding it. The first bar indicates the taming completion, and the second bar (red) determines how angry the dinosaur was. If the red bar gets high, wait for it to calm, jump down and throw a Honey again.
Make sure to kill other Andrewsarchus on the place as all of them might aggro onto the Honey making it hard for you to tame one.
Advantage of Andrewsarchus
Once you tamed it, Andrewsarchu’s saddle is a mobile turret. This dinosaur is much more battle oriented than others. Its turret saddle uses Advance Rifle Bullets, making it more powerful when fighting Giga dinosaurs.
