Wuthering Waves: Freeze The Time With “Chrono Sign” To Activate Device | Vigil Of Endless Night

In the Vigil of Endless Night quest of Wuthering Waves, you will be tasked with using the “Chrono Sign” ability to slow down time in order to move forward in the quest. This ability comes in pretty handy in dealing with fast moving mechanisms.

In this guide, I will show you how to solve the “Chrono Sign” related puzzles that you will find in this quest.

Freeze The Time With “Chrono Sign” To Activate Device

During this quest, you will get the objective “Freeze The Time With Chrono Sign To Activate Device” three times in three different areas. I have provided solutions for all of them down below in the order you will come across them.

First Encounter

After talking to Chenpi, you will need to enter the Woodveil Hall. Once you do, you will need to ski down an ice slope which will take you to a closed door. To open up the door, first stand on the switch marked in the image below.

After that, simply use Chrono Sign by pressing the corresponding key on your device. This will slow down time for a couple of seconds. The timer icon located to the left of your character shows the amount of time left before this ability runs out. Now quickly make your way through the door before this timer runs out.

Second Encounter

Keep heading straight towards the quest marker to reach the next Chrono Sign puzzle. You will run into some mobs which you can fight if you wish to. If not, then simply run past them.

Once again, stand on the switch which will activate the device revealing a path down below. Use the Chrono Sign ability and then jump down below.

When you are descending down, make sure to avoid getting hit by the laser beams.

Third Encounter

Once you have reached the ground, head forward towards the next Chrono Sign puzzle.

You will reach an area with a pillar moving up and down with a beam on the front. And if you look above the closed door, you will notice a circle. Your task here is to make the beam touch the center of the circle for about 1-2 seconds.

To do so, wait for the pillar to align and then use the Chrono Sign ability as soon as the beam hits the center of the circle as you can see in the image below. This will open up the door and now you can progress farther in the quest.
