Mercatum Tabula Officiale is one of the many thrilling quests you can take in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader and it requires you to explore an Ancient Bunker.
The Ancient Bunker seems rather unassuming, but its ventilation system has failed and made the air deadly!
In this guide, we’ll help you go through the Ancient Bunker to get the seal required for the quest and also tell you how to repair the ventilation system.
How to Get Through the Ancient Bunker in the Mercatum Tabula Officiale Quest
You can find the Ancient Bunker in Oasis V, inside the Nameless Star system. It’s part of Jae’s personal quest, “Mercatum Tabula Officiale”.
The first thing you have to do once you reach the bunker is to open the large door at the front. Make sure to save before doing so, however!
Anyway, you can open the door without damage by passing the Tech-Use or Demolition skill checks. Alternatively, you can choose to open the door with plasma cutters, which will damage your party.
No matter what option you choose, you will find out that the air inside the bunker is poisonous, so you have limited time!

Anyway, rush into the bunker as soon as the door opens and go forward until you reach a wall.
Then, take the path to your left and go through the leftmost door at the end of the hallway. You should be in a room with some showers.
Look for the door past the showers and go through it to reach a small warehouse.
Inside the warehouse, explore the locker to the left of the entrance and you should find the Worn Seal for Jae’s quest.
Now, you already have what you need for the Mercatum Tabula Official quest. So, you can leave the Ancient Bunker right away if you want!
Alternatively, though, you can reactivate the ventilation system to clear the poisonous air. This will allow you to freely explore and loot the place.
Restoring the Ventilation System
If you choose to repair the ventilation system, go out of the small warehouse by going through the door on the wall opposite the locker.
You should be in a large hallway with a bunch of doors. Follow the path to your left until you find another hallway.
Quickly rush into this second hallway and keep going forward until you reach the cafeteria.
Loot the central corpse in the cafeteria to find that they have the Old Key, which you’ll need to restore the ventilation system. They don’t need it anymore, so grab the key!
Now, go back out of the cafeteria through the same hallway you came from and turn to your character’s left.
The first door to your character’s left should lead to a large room. Notice that the door leading to the room has a black and yellow stripe pattern in front of it.
Rush into the room, then sprint towards the far wall to find yet another large room with some shelves and a computer.
Grab the Old Valve from the shelf on the rightmost side of the large storage room, then go back to the room you just came from.
Check the interactable pipe next to the door and use the Old Valve on it, then rotate both valves on the pipe.
Lastly, go back to the storage room with the computer and choose “Activate the emergency ventilation system”.
Phew, the poisonous air clears up from the Ancient Bunker, so you can now explore and loot the place to your heart’s content without slowly dying.
There are no enemies to fight here, but there are lots of loot and lore documents to pick up, so take your time thoroughly checking the place.
