STALEKR 2: Heart of Chornobyl is finally out after so many years, and while the devs are still getting their latest version of A-Life sorted out, you can still enjoy the main questline as intended. In this guide, we will be showing you how to complete the As Astra Per Aspera quest, which will have you running around disabling some nauseating devices!
Ad Astra Per Aspera Quest Guide
Before we get started, there is an “optional” objective for the quest to get a suit with high psi protection, which will make completing this quest a little easier. There are a few options available to you, such as the Cuirass Exoskeleton or the SEVA-I Suit.
Since we already have a guide for the former, we will be showing you how to get the SEVA-I Suit here. There are actually multiple ways to get one, as there is a suit in Yantar as well as in Duga. We will cover the latter one.
At Duga, make your way to the building highlighted in the map image below. There will be a burer inside that you will need to defeat first, so be prepared for a fight once you get there!
Once you have dealt with the burer, head to the corner of the building and you will find a generator that you can activate, which is conveniently marked by a blob of yellow paint above. After that, turn around and head up the stairs at the opposite end of the building.
Press the red button (you can’t miss it) and then head back down. The locked storage area at the other end of the building should be open now. A SEVA-I Suit can be found in one of the open lockers. Take it and put it on when you are ready to tackle the rest of the quest!
Disable Psi-beacon #1 – Burnt Farmstead
The firstpsi-beacon can be found at the Burnt Farmstead, which is around the center point of the Swamps region. Each beacon is conveniently marked on your map during the quest, so it is impossible for you to miss any of them.
Once you make it to the marked location, you should see something glowing within a watchtower. This is one of the psi-beacons, so simply climb up to the tower and turn it off. Be ready to fend off a few enemies, as there will be both mutants and hostilehumans here.
Disable Psi-beacon #2 – Old Church
The next one can be found at the Old Church just to the east of the previous location. Head over to the marked area and you should see the church itself, though the beacon is nowhere in sight. That is because it is hiddenup above, inside the building.
Once inside, you should see some suspiciously lighterwoodenboards on the floor. Break these and then walk through it until you reach a ramp leading back up to a different room.
Do a bit of platforming on the barrels and other wooden platforms to reach the rooftop. There, you should find an open window, with the secondpsi-beacon glowing inside.
Watch your step, as there are a few gaps on the floor that will cause you to fall back down as you enter through the window. Just jump in and walk over to it to deactivate the device.
Disable Psi-beacon #3 – Pumping Station
The next one is at the Pumping Station, which is directly to the south of the Burnt Farmstead. There is not much to note here, so just deal with all of the enemies in the area and make your way up the top of the station to disable the psi-beacon once it is safe.
Disable Psi-beacon #4 – Second Vanguard
Finally, the lastpsi-beacon can be found at the Second Vanguard further south from the previous location. Once you make it to the marked location, you should be able to spot the final beacon glowing atop a tower that you can easily access through a ladder.
Passing Through the Warren Shack | Finding Faust
Next, just follow the quest marker all the way to the Warren Shack. All you need to do is, as stated in the objective, pass through it. If you run into any enemies near this area, just ignore them and sprint right through the building to get to the other side.
Once you have passed through it, you will be tasked with finding the Clear Sky base. Again, simply follow the quest marker on your map and/or compass until the objective updates.
From here, simply enter the Clear Sky base and a cutscene will eventually start playing as you walk through the linear hallway inside. Just let it play out and the quest will eventually be over. Congratulations, you have now completed Ad Astra Per Aspera!
With the quest now over, you will be rewarded with the Deadeye pistol, which is one of the more powerful handgun options in the game right now. With how easy the quest is to complete, it is worth finishing it as soon as possible even if just to get the Deadeye.
