Jump into the golden age of piracy with Skull and Bones! An action-adventure title developed by Ubisoft is set to be released in February 2024. With plentiful content coming along with it, be sure you won’t get bored of this game anytime soon.
Today, we’ll give you an up-to-date guide on how to craft your first ship that will win you battles and get you more booty along the way. Let’s get started!
Getting Started
While it may seem like a logical step forward, we at GamesFuze did not know how to build our first ship at all playing the Beta version of the game. Figuring that out was a much longer process than it should be. Anyways, to get started, you first need to complete a quest called “Tool of the Trade”.
Alongside this, you need to also gather enough crafting materials that will be used to craft your ultimate fighting vessel.
Collecting Resources
Ok, so you know what you need to do to craft your first ship. But now you’re stuck with the question, how am I gonna get resources? Getting resources in Skull and Bones is fairly easy. You have to set sail and scavenge for resources across the map harvesting wood, timber, etc.
You can even set your filter to look for a specific resource, for example, acacia wood, so it shows on the map. On the screenshot below you can see more details about what we’re talking about.
Note that you need 8 pieces of acacia wood to build your first ship.
Once you have successfully gathered the required resources, head back and deliver the materials for ship crafting.
Crafting
You have your resources and now all there is left for you to do is head over to the Shipwright to order your ship. The Shipwright is located north of you when you enter the docks and simply follow the map to find him. You can see the map below.
Now all there is left to do is talk to the Shipwright and order your ship. The ship’s name is the Bedar and it is your first “seaworthy” ship in this game that will allow you to progress further as you loot, pillage, and gain more resources along the way.
