Roboquest: How To Level Up Fast

Roboquest is an excellent fast-paced FPS roguelike with amazing gameplay and visuals. It boasts extremely positive reviews on Steam, and it’s one of the best FPS games on the market today.

Due to the nature of the roguelike genre, however, it is also quite difficult. Leveling your way up can be punishing.

That is where this guide comes in! We’ll help you level up fast in your Roboquest runs, so you can run more efficiently with each playthrough.

How To Level Up Fast

As with most roguelikes, the levels and items of Roboquest are randomly generated. There are still steps that can be taken to ensure that optimal level farming is achieved. This guide will help you get the “Muscle +4000” achievement which is obtained by getting Level 15 in one run.

To achieve the maximum level, you will need to go through all the zones. You will also need to pick up certain items in the Scrapyard and Doom Gardens. 

Before anything else, make sure to reduce your difficulty to the lowest “Discovery” difficulty. This is the best way to farm for the achievement we want. 

You can choose whichever class you want for this guide and continue.

Farming Method

Your goal for now should be to head to Scrapyard. So, start from Canyons, go to the Ruins, and then finally arrive at the Scrapyard. 

For the most part, you should feel free to use whatever weapons you like in this run. However, eventually, you need to fight the enemies in Doom Gardens.

Doom Gardens contains many small enemies, and having a shotgun will help. Shotguns have a wider area of attack which can be very useful. The “Sulfator Shotgun” is recommended. 

This is an excellent heavy shotgun and will make it a lot easier to get through Doom Gardens. 

Your XP in a run is largely determined by how many enemies you kill in each zone. Be sure to kill every enemy in each of the zones, otherwise you will not be able to achieve the highest level. You can check your XP in the top left corner of your screen. 

S is the highest rank achievable here, and E is the lowest. You will see that your rank is S once you’ve killed every enemy in the zone. 

After you’ve finished Scrapyard and killed all the enemies in all the zones, progress to Fields. After Fields, we will finally be able to enter Doom Gardens.

Doom Gardens Farming Method

Once you get to Doom Gardens, you will see a timer appear on the top of your screen.

It is very important to keep this bar full, as if it depletes fully the door at the end of Doom Gardens will close. You replenish this bar by killing enemies and collecting the yellow orbs they drop. Using the shotgun mentioned earlier will help you massively here. 

By the end of Doom Gardens, you should be nearing Level 7 if you killed all the enemies. In some areas, you might have to backtrack a few times to get all the enemies, but don’t get discouraged. 

Eventually, you will get to the moon area. By this time, you should be close to getting Level 14. 

The moon should give you more than a level’s worth of XP before reaching the boss, getting you to level 15 overall.

It is possible you won’t reach Level 15 or get the achievement until almost all the enemies are dead, so don’t worry! If you kill all the enemies, you will get to your desired level before reaching the final boss.
