Return to Monkey Island: Neat Freak Achievement Guide

Return to Monkey Island is the sixth installment of the Monkey Island series. It recently launched, where players are enjoying the continuation of Guybrush Threepwood’s adventures.

In the game, there are hidden achievements you can unlock to obtain perks. One of these is the Neat Freak achievement, and we are going to show you how to obtain it.

Neat Freak Achievement Guide in Return to Monkey Island

The Neat Freak achievement in Return to Monkey Island can be obtained in part 2 of A Dangerous Journey. You can start the quest inside LeChuck’s ship after adding the flattened skull to the potion.

You also need to fulfill the following requirements:

• Talk to Flambe about the vote and favorite food
• Talk to Putra and talk about Scorched Alaska and her Promotion
• Take the promotion request from the galley and give it to LeChuck

To unlock the achievement, you need to clean up 8 kinds of mess on the ship.

Cleaning the Mess on the Ship

There are 8 mess that you need to clean on the ship. However, you can only add 5 messes to the First Swab’s report, so make sure to make a backup save to load and come back to add the other 3.

Mess 1

Make sure to make a mess when you add the Flatten Skull to the potion. Click on the mop beside the crate and click on the grease to clean it up. Click on the floor.

When you go back here from taking the First Swab’s report from LeChuck, you are going to see a mess again. Drag the report to the floor.

Mess 2

Outside of LeChuck’s cabin, open the rucksack and drag the First Swab’s report to a rat.

Mess 3

Go to the ship’s galley and drag the First Swab’s report to the back of the table.

Mess 4

Return to the hold, open the rucksack, and drag the First Swab’s report to the Greasy porthole.

Mess 5

In the hold, drag the First Swab’s report to the chicken feed beside the ladder.

Mess 6

From the hold click on the porthole to go outside and click to the left to check the rudder. Open the rucksack and drag the First Swab’s report to Gullet.

Mess 7

On the upper deck. On the right side, drag the First Swab’s report to the empty crates below the stairs.

Mess 8

Still on the upper deck on the left side. Drag the First Swab’s report to the potion stains on the floor.

Cleaning all of the above mess unlocks the Neat Freak achievement.
