Return to Monkey Island: Free Wally Achievement Guide

Return to the Monkey Island is a point-and-click adventure game that players enjoy for years now along with the prequel version of the game. Even though the Return to Monkey Island is the newest release of the Monkey Island series, this didn’t stop the players from continuing the story of Guybrush. In fact, players became excited on what new features this game has to offer.

Aside from the storyline and quests, Return to Monkey Island also has achievements that can or cannot be unlocked by the players depending on their play style. But since some players want to complete the achievement in the Return to Monkey Island, we made guide to help you succeed in that.

This guide is purposely made to help you finish the Free Wally achievement.

Free Wally Achievement Guide in Return to the Monkey Island

Unlike the other achievements that you can do and finish in one go, Free Wally is a long process before you can finish it. However, you must have great remembering skills in order to successfully do this.

The steps in adding progress to this achievement is dispersed to different parts.

The first step is done and can only be done during the Part 2 of the game. While you are on the boat with the three other prates, walk over to the left side of the boat. There, you will see a pair of shackles near the pile of crates. Access your inventory and use the monocles to the shackles. This will make Guybrush copy the serial number. After that, you will have a crumpled paper with the serial number in your inventory.

After that, the next step can only be done on Part 4. While you’re at it, go to the High Street and head to the locksmith. Talk to the locksmith and give her the crumpled paper with the serial number. Wait until it’s done and keep it in your inventory.

Lastly, wait until you reach the Part 5. You will see Wally hanging with his hands up in shackles. Go next to him and use the LeShip shackle key. With that, you will successfully complete the Free Wally achievement.
