Path of Exile – How to Upgrade Your Mine

The league mechanic in Path of Exile is one of the coolest new additions that has made its way into the game with the Settlers of Karlguur expansion. Using this new mechanic, you can take control of the NPCs at Kingsmarch and generate a ton of resources for yourself.

Mining is a big part of the league system, as it is one of the main ways in which you can generate resources. That said, early on in the game you can only mine one type of ore. To mine additional ore, you will need to upgrade your mine. Our guide will look at what you need to do to upgrade your mine in Path of Exile.

How to Upgrade Your Mine

To upgrade your mine in Path of Exile, you will need to make your way to Kingsmarch. Kingsmarch is a new location that has been added to the game with Settlers of Kalguur.

As shown in the image above, the mines are located at the east end of Kingsmarch. Make your way there after arriving at Kingsmarch.

Once you are there, you will need to click on the hammer icon marked in the image above.

Doing this will allow you to view the current level of your mine and also upgrade your mine. For the first mine upgrade, you will need:

• 25 Gold
• 3 Crimson Iron Ore

Gold is the primary currency that you will need to have on you to interact with almost anything in Kingsmarch. You can get Gold as an item drop through enemies and loot while playing the game.

Upgrade Rewards

Rank 2 of mining will provide you with the following rewards:

• +2 to maximum miners
• Can mine Oricalchum
• 15% increased mining speed

Assign additional workers to your mines and increase your overall mining of ore. With Oricalchum also being minable now, you can assign workers to mine that. Keep in mind that additional workers will require you to use additional gold.

All of the resources that you mine in Path of Exile can be used in shipping. Shipping is another mechanic in Kingsmarch that you can use to get yourself tons of loot. The game allows you to send out shipments and get rewards in return. With Olicalchum, you can send out more shipments and get even better rewards. Rank 2 of mining allows you to mine a total of 2 different ores. There are a total of 5 different ores that you can mine through the league system in this game. Further upgrade your mining and start mining all of the ores.
