In Myth of Empires you can capture vagrant soldiers and force them to work for you, instead of hiring soldiers. Before you can subdue and capture a vagrant soldier, there are a few things you will need to do. Here’s what you will need to capture soldiers in Myth of Empires.
How to Capture Soldiers
Vagrant soldiers aren’t just going to give up and allow you to capture them without a fight. To capture a soldier you are going to have to craft a few items.
Unlock Items
To capture soldiers you will need to unlock some items under the subdue soldiers icon in the crafting recipes menu, as seen in the image above.
Of course, to capture a soldier you need a trap. Under the subdue soldiers section there is an element that says trap on it.
To capture the soldier you will need to craft twine, a torture rack, and a simple club.
Craft Items
To craft the item, you’ll need to cut down some trees for resources. If you want to get to your resources faster and work more efficiently, you can always tame a horse and they’ll lend a helpful hand.
When you have gathered enough resources, go to the architect’s bench and create the torture rack, as seen in the image above.
Then at the weapons bench, you can craft the simple club. You’ll need to access the tailor bench to craft some twine.
Vagrant Camp
Once you’ve acquired all the items, you’ll need to go and explore the outdoors in search of a vagrant camp. Try to find one that’s near your base, as it will take ages to get the vagrant back to your base.
Subdue Vagrant
Once you’ve managed to find a vagrant soldier, you must equip yourself with the club. Hit the vagrant soldier with the club. Don’t hit them twice, or else you’ll kill them. Wait for a prompt that asks you to talk to them and you’ll be able to carry them away.
Now comes the hard part, you have to carry them all the way back to your base, but be careful as they will become unsubdued when they regain their health.
When they do become unsubdued, you’ll need to hit again. To make things easier, go into their inventory and take off all their weapons and armor.
Torture Rack
Now all that’s left to do is to place the vagrant soldier on your torture rack and wait for the obedience bar to reach 100%.
Make sure to keep them well-fed by interacting with the torture rack. Once they’ve reached 100% you will then be able to rename the soldier and they will have been successfully captured.
If all else fails, subdue the soldier with force and obedience will follow!
