The Paladin Mastery is one of the best ones you can choose for a Sentinel build in Last Epoch 1.0, thanks to its ease of use and overall versatility.

A Sentinel Paladin build is capable of dishing out godlike damage as it smites foes, while also being able to provide excellent healing for himself and his allies.

In this guide, we’ll give you some pointers to help you build your Sentinel as a Paladin!

Sentinel Paladin Build Guide – Paladin Playstyle and Best Skills

Last Epoch 1.0: Sentinel Paladin Build Guide

As a Sentinel who has chosen the Paladin Mastery, you’ll have a high potential to deal damage while also recovering your health with ease.

Your best offensive skills will be Rive for melee and Javelin for ranged. They can be tricky to use, as they require decent aiming on your end, but they’re your best bets!

This is in large part thanks to the Holy Trail passive skill. Any Javelins you throw will leave a trail that deals damage to nearby enemies and also heals you and your allies.

Paladin Skills

Effectively, Javelin will be your go-to skill for offense and healing!

It’s a good idea to get any skills and gear that increase “Healing Effectiveness” too, since you can pair it with the Path of Judgment passive.

This passive will increase your damage based on your healing effectiveness!

Additionally, you can buff your offense and defense using the Holy Aura skill. This buff will extend to your allies as well.

Paladin Gameplay

It’s also a good idea to have Healing Hands, as you can cast it to regenerate health and greatly boost your survivability.

Another noteworthy skill is Bound Weapon passive for Rive, which gives you a chance to summon a forged weapon as a minion whenever you use Rive.

Focusing on the skills above is a surefire way to make your Paladin Sentinel a beastly tank, capable of excellent healing while dishing out big damage!

What Gear to Have for a Sentinel Paladin Build – Best Affixes to Look For

Paladin Gameplay

Gearing up for a Paladin build is fairly simple. But, before we dive into the specific Affixes you should look for, we want to give a shoutout to certain powerful Unique items:

  • Eterra’s Path – These boots are a random drop, so you will need to be lucky to get them. Nonetheless, they’re great because they boost move speed as well as Healing Effectiveness!
  • Devotion – An amulet, and another random drop. A great boon to your resistances and Healing Effectiveness.
  • Exsanguinous – Unique chest armor that drops randomly, and is quite rare. It converts your Health into Ward, while also boosting your Cast Speed.
  • Arboreal Circuit – Last but not least, this ring is, sadly, also a random drop. However, it’s a must-have if you are using Summon Forged Weapon effects to have minions, as it makes them a lot more durable and faster.
Paladin Equipment

As you might have noticed, there’s a bit of a common theme when it comes to stats: you absolutely want to boost Healing Effectiveness!

It won’t just be for healing. It will be great for damage as well, thanks to the Path of Judgment skill.

With that said, here are the Affix effects that you want to look out for, in order of importance:

  1. Healing Effectiveness, Increased Healing Effectiveness.
  2. Skill Level affects your focus skills. For example, Level of Javelin or Level of Rive.
  3. Health.
  4. Fire Penetration.
  5. Elemental Damage Over Time.
  6. Fire Damage and Fire Damage Over Time.
  7. Lightning Damage and Lightning Damage Over Time.
  8. Shared Fire Damage and Shared Lightning Damage.
  9. Chance to Ignite on Hit.

Make sure to create your loot filters to find gear with these Affixes, and your Paladin Sentinel build will be as good as it can be!

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
