With so many Timelines to deal with in Season 4 of Last Epoch, you’ll need to know how to get a lot of Corruption quickly if you wish to be efficient.

Corruption is a mechanic in the Monolith of Fate endgame mode. Increasing it makes Timelines harder, but also increases the rewards you get. It’s even necessary for certain content to even show up! But raising it for every Timeline can take a while…

In this guide, I’ll tell you how to easily and quickly increase Timeline Corruption.

The Basics

Before I begin the guide proper, note that you should already have a decent understanding of the Monolith of Fate content to be able to maximize Corruption gain.

At the bare minimum, you should’ve at least defeated your first Harbinger already by completing a Level 90+ Timeline. This will unlock the Empowered Timelines, which is where Corruption starts to matter.

If you need some help with this, I recommend checking out our guide on how to get through the endgame in Last Epoch.

With those basics laid down, let’s go over the actual method now.

How to Quickly Boost Corruption in a Timeline

Gaze of Orobyss | Last Epoch

The first thing you’ll want to do is to gather Gaze of Orobyss. You want to aim to have at least 8 of them. You get 1 each time you defeat a Timeline Boss by maxing out Stability in the Timeline.

The main reason you want to have at least 8 of these is that they make the Echo of a World node spawn much earlier. Instead of having to find it randomly deep in a Timeline, having 8 Gaze of Orobyss guarantees 1 Echo of a World after clearing a single normal Echo node.

However, the downside here is obviously that you’ll need to defeat quite a lot of Timeline Bosses to be able to get all 8. Plus, getting the required Stability can take forever! Thankfully, there are some ways to speed up the process.

The first thing to look out for is the Temporal Keystones. These drop randomly while doing Echoes.

If you have Temporal Keystones, you can use them by clicking on the plus sign on the Timeline Stability gauge. You’ll then automatically get 150-210 Stability, which saves a lot of time.

The second thing you want is the Harbinger’s Needle, which is an Idol you get whenever you defeat a Harbinger.

Equip 1 Harbinger’s Needle whenever you’re going to defeat a Timeline Boss. Simply having it equipped will guarantee that you get 3 additional Gaze of Orobyss when defeating a Timeline Boss above 90 Corruption.

Combining the use of Temporal Keystones and the Harbinger’s Needle, you should be able to get the minimum of 8 Gaze of Orobyss fast!

In short: get 8 Gaze of Orobyss and then you can boost Corruption by just doing one regular Echo and going straight for the Echo of a World node.

Use the Timeline Catch-Up Mechanic

Now, using the method I outlined previously, you should focus on a single Timeline and raise its Corruption as high as you want. As a reminder, you need at least 500 Corruption to fight all Harbingers and Uber Aberroth.

When you have a Timeline at your desired Corruption level, you can use the catch-up mechanics to nearly instantly boost every other Timeline.

To do this, go into the other Timeline you wish to push Corruption in. Within that Timeline, encounter an Echo of a World node and defeat the Shade of Orobyss as always.

The trick is that you’ll get a massive amount of Bonus Corruption based on the highest Corruption from all of the Timelines. The bonus is currently set to be 95% of the highest Timeline Corruption.

For example, let’s say you pushed a Timeline up to 1000. Then, you defeat the Shade of Orobyss in a Timeline that only has 100 Corruption. You’ll get 950 Corruption as a bonus, instantly catching up without having to grind from 100 to 1000!

By using this mechanic, you only really need to push Corruption the hard way for a single Timeline. For every other Timeline, a single defeat of the Shade of Orobyss will be enough to get Corruption where you want.

Use the Account-Wide Catch-Up Mechanic

In addition to the Timeline-based catch-up mechanic, you can also catch-up alts you’ve made based on the highest Corruption you’ve achieved with another character.

To do this, you’ll first need to get a Confluence of Oblivion Woven Echo. You can get it as a random drop from Shades of Orobyss. You can also purchase it from Masque at the Haven of Silk after reaching Rank 10 in The Woven.

Once you have at least 1 Confluence of Oblivion, find a Cemetery of the Erased Echo node in the Timeline you wish to boost. Complete it and use the Weaver’s Altar at the end.

Then, place the Confluence of Oblivion wherever you wish. The closer the better to speed things up, of course.

By entering the Confluence of Oblivion, you’ll be able to fight all 5 types of Shades of Orobyss at once. Defeat them and the Timeline will be reset, setting it to the highest Corruption you’ve achieved with any character.

After doing this for a Timeline, you can then use the regular Timeline-based catch-up method from the previous section. It’s definitely easier and faster to get everything up to speed.

In Summary

So, to wrap up, the best way to get a lot of Corruption in Season 4 of Last Epoch is to focus on boosting one Timeline with 8 Gaze of Orobyss.

After getting it to the Corruption level you want, you can make every other Timeline catch up by simply defeating the Shade of Orobyss once. For multiple characters, use the Confluence of Oblivion Woven Echo instead.

I hope this helps you lessen the grind of getting all Timelines to your desired Corruption level!
