Shroud Cores are an advanced crafting material in Enshrouded, and you’ll do well to figure out how to get them as soon as possible.
You can use them to upgrade your base past a certain level, as well as to craft the extremely useful Magical Chests. You’ll want to get as many Shroud Cores as possible, and quickly!
Don’t know where to find those Shroud Cores? Well, let us help you with your search by telling you where to look.
How to Get Shroud Cores
There are only two ways to get Shroud Cores in Enshrouded as of now.
The first one is to kill the Wraith enemies, which are most common around the Elixir Wells. They are tall emaciated ghost entities, and taking them on can be quite a challenge for the unprepared!
If you’re ready for the challenge, though, you’ll find that the Wraiths drop Shroud Cores very frequently on death. This makes them the fastest source of this rare material!
Alternatively, though, you can also craft them yourself. To do so, you will first need to find the Alchemist and place him inside of your base.
Once you’ve done that, speak to the Alchemist to open his crafting menu and you’ll find the Shroud Cores in the “Resources” category.
Crafting these Shroud Cores will require the following materials:
Shroud Spores x10 – Dropped by enemies that were consumed by the shroud. Most common in Enshrouded Forests and similar areas.
Shroud Liquid x10 – Harvested from Shroud Mushrooms, which are the gray ball-shaped plants you can find whenever you explore an Enshrouded area.
Both of those materials are pretty easy to come across if you explore areas where the Shroud is most prevalent.
That said, gathering dozens of them to craft Shroud Cores is definitely slower than just hunting down Wraiths, despite being easier.
Either way, now you know the only two ways there are to get Shroud Cores. Just choose if you want a riskier and faster method, or you’ll go with a slower but safer method!
