However, it’s not as simple as catching the eel and completing the quest. There are some requirements you need to meet before you can even turn it in.

How to Complete the Best Before Quest in Dredge
You will be able to accept this quest from an Ingfell resident. So for starters, the first thing you have to do is head to Ingfell which is a town in Gale Cliffs on the southeastern part of the map.

Dredge: Where to Find the Best Free Starting Gear LocationApr 17, 2023Once you get there, speak to the Ingfell Resident and ask her if she needs help with anything. She will then tell you that she wants to prepare a meal for her partner but has encountered some issues.
After finishing the dialogue, she will ask you if you can bring her an aged Conger Eel. Simply say yes in order to accept the quest. Now, your task will be to catch a Conger Eel.
Catching a Conger Eel
You can continue the conversation and ask her where you can find a Conger eel. She’ll tell you they can be found within the burrows and hills near the cliffs.
After that, simply drive around the cliffs and look for a Disturbed Water. Start fishing until you manage to catch a Conger eel.
Go back to Ingfell and talk to the resident saying that you’ve caught a Conger eel. She’ll then comments that the eel is not sufficiently aged and will ask you to come back as soon as it has aged a bit.
For this, all you have to do is rest until the next day and talk to the resident once again. A dialogue option that says “Here’s the aged Conger Eel you asked for” will then appear.
Simply choose that option in order to complete the quest.
