The first major post-early access launch for Core Keeper has arrived. The Sunken Sea, a new aquatic biome filled with water-themed items, is now open to players.
Similar to the Azeos Wilds expansion, the new biome update has much to discover. One of them is the newly added boss Omoroth the Sea Titan.
How to Defeat Omoroth in Core Keeper
Like other bosses, you need to create a scanner that detects the boss’s location. You can craft the scanner with the following materials: 10 Ancient Gemstones, 10 Mechanical Parts, and 15 Sea Shells.
The Sea Shells are obtained by organically exploring the Sunken Sea ecosystem. Once you get the item, a large red boss marker should appear on the map showing Omoroth’s location.
Defeating Omoroth
To defeat Omoroth you need to summon the boss first. You need to craft an Expert Lure which requires:
Purple Bait (purchased from the new Fisherman merchant)
30 Spicy Bait
30 Sweet Bait
30 Glowing Bait
30 Octarine Bars
10 Ancient Gemstones
Once you’ve arrived at the Omoroth’s spawn room, use a fishing rod and the Expert Lure to catch the boss. It will then spawn the boss, who will become active and engage in combat with you.
He will create watery tornadoes from its position as the battle progresses and purple tentacles around its outside radius to attack those attempting to avoid the tornadoes. The tentacles have roughly 2k HP, so you can kill them.
Omoroth will also bounce around various fishing spots in the boss room. As a result, you’ll have to move about a lot. A ranged weapon, such as the new Bubble Gun or the Scholar’s Staff obtained from the new caveling opponents, is recommended.
Keep some potions on you so you can heal quickly if you are hit by something. Defeating Omoroth will give you a new Omoroth Armor Set, which provides you with a lot of health and armor and a ring that enhances boss damage.
