Gold Coins in Palworld 1.0 are needed for pretty much everything that matters outside of crafting. Buying schematics, purchasing Pals from merchants, stocking up at vendors and paying for Surgery Table operations all drain your wallet faster than you might expect, especially in the early game when your income is still limited.

The good news is that there are a few reliable methods available right from the start that do not require you to be deep into the game to set up. In this guide I will cover the best way to farm Gold Coins early in Palworld 1.0 so you are never sitting broke when you need to spend.

Best Early Game Gold Farming Method

For this gold farming method, you’ll first need to capture a Pal called Demud Gild. These Pals are easy to recognize thanks to their golden color and fish-like appearance.

You will need to capture both a male and female Demud Gild so you can use them for this method. They can be found along the beaches in the area marked on the map below.

Since their spawn rate is not guaranteed, you may need to spend some time flying or walking along the coastline while searching for them. The good news is that this is a low level area, so you don’t need high level gear or strong Pals to reach the location. Just keep scanning the beaches and you should eventually find them.

Setting Up a Breeding Farm

Once you have captured both a male and female Demud Gild, the next step is to set up a Breeding Farm so you can start producing eggs. You can unlock the basic Breeding Farm at Technology Level 19. To build it, you will need:

• 10 Wooden Boards
• 20 Stone
• 50 Fiber

After placing the Breeding Farm, you will also need an Egg Incubator to hatch the eggs produced. The Egg Incubator is unlocked at Technology Level 10 and requires the following materials to craft:

• 10 Paldium Fragments
• 5 Cloth
• 30 Stone
• 2 Ancient Civilization Parts

Once both structures are ready, assign your male and female Demud Gild to the Breeding Farm. They will begin producing eggs over time, allowing you to create more Demud Gild.

How to Get Cake for Breeding

To keep the Demud Gild breeding process going, you will need a steady supply of Cake. Every breeding cycle requires Cake to start, so having a reliable way to produce it will save you a lot of time in the long run.

Before you can craft Cake, you first need to unlock the Cooking Pot from the Technology menu at Player Level 17. To build the Cooking Pot, you will need:

• 20 Wood
• 15 Ingots
• 3 Flame Organs

Once you have the Cooking Pot placed at your base, you can craft a Cake using:

• 5 Flour
• 8 Red Berries
• 7 Milk
• 8 Eggs
• 2 Honey

Cake Ingredients

The easiest way to maintain a constant Cake supply is by setting up Ranches and plantations at your base. Here is how to get each ingredient:

• Flour
  • To make Flour, you first need to grow Wheat. Build a Wheat Plantation at your base, harvest the Wheat, and then process it using a Mill to turn it into Flour.
• Red Berries
  • You can create a steady supply of Red Berries by building a Berry Plantation at your base.
  • Alternatively, you can assign a Caprity to your Ranch, as it can also produce Red Berries over time.
  • If you only need a small amount, you can simply gather them from berry bushes found around the world.
• Milk
  • The most common way to get Milk is by assigning a Mozzarina to your Ranch. It will passively produce Milk over time, giving you a consistent supply for making Cake.
• Eggs
  • For Eggs, assign a Chikipi to your Ranch. Chikipi is the standard Pal used for Egg production, making this one of the easiest Cake ingredients to maintain.
• Honey
  • Honey is usually the slowest ingredient to collect. The best way to produce it is by assigning a Beegarde to your Ranch.
  • Since Honey production takes longer compared to other Ranch items, having multiple Beegardes can help you build up a larger supply faster.

If you don’t want to wait for your Ranches and plantations to produce everything, you also have a few other options. Merchants sell several Cake ingredients, including Eggs, Milk, Red Berries, and Wheat, although buying them can become expensive if you are making a large number of Cakes.

You can also collect ingredients through hunting. For example, Mozzarina can provide Milk, Chikipi can provide Eggs, and Cinnamoth can drop Honey when defeated or captured. However, for long term breeding, setting up your own production at your base is the most reliable method.

Making the Breeding Process Efficient

You can speed up your Demud Gild egg production by using Pals with specific passives and Partner Skills that directly affect breeding and egg collection.

The biggest boost comes from the Philanthropist passive. When a Pal with Philanthropist is assigned to a Breeding Farm, it increases breeding speed by 100%, meaning your breeding pair will produce Eggs much faster. If both Pals assigned to the Breeding Farm have Philanthropist, the bonus can stack, making it one of the best passives to have for a dedicated breeding setup.

You can also use Grintale to get more value from your breeding farm. When Grintale is in your active party, its Glaring Cat’s Eye Partner Skill gives you a chance to receive an extra Egg when picking one up manually. This does not speed up Egg production itself, but it effectively gives you more Eggs from the same breeding cycle.

Selling Demud Gilds

Once you have your entire breeding setup established, the final step is to sell the Demud Gilds you produce for a large amount of Gold. For this method, the best place to sell them is the Small Settlement, which I’ve marked on the map below. The location is approximately (83, -487).

When you arrive, speak with the Pal Merchant and you can sell your Demud Gilds directly for Gold. The selling price depends on factors such as the Pal’s level and other variables, but a single Demud Gild can sell for anywhere between 40,000 and 100,000 Gold.

From here, the process is fairly straightforward. Use your Cake supply to keep the Breeding Farm running, hatch the Demud Gild eggs you produce, and continue repeating the cycle. The more efficiently you maintain your breeding setup, the more Demud Gilds you can create and the more Gold you can earn over time.

Alternative Method Gold Farming Method

If you don’t want to spend time finding Demud Gild, setting up a breeding farm, or simply need a quicker way to make some early Gold, there is another reliable method you can use.

This method focuses on capturing Turtacle Terra and selling them to a Pal Merchant. The best location to find Turtacle Terra is around the coordinates (-723, 133), which I’ve marked on the map below.

Before heading out, make sure you come prepared with strong Pal Spheres, preferably Legendary Spheres if you have access to them. I also recommend using the Ring of Mercy or Pal Tamer’s Glasses, as both make capturing Pals much easier by preventing you from accidentally defeating your target.

Once you have collected enough Turtacle Terra, head back to the Small Settlement and speak with the Pal Merchant to sell them.

The selling price can vary depending on the Pal’s level and other factors, but you can typically sell a single Turtacle Terra for around 40,000 Gold, making this a great quick money making method if you don’t want to invest time into setting up the Demud Gild breeding farm.
