Dog Coins are one of the most valuable currencies in Palworld 1.0 as they’re the only way you can buy highly valuable items. One of these items is the Elixirs that you can use to boost your stats permanently.
That said, while you can find Dog Coins occasionally through exploration, it’s not the most reliable way to get tons of them. In this guide, we’ll show you the best locations to farm Dog Coins in the game’s full release.
Where to Find Dog Coins in Palworld 1.0

As mentioned, you can occasionally find Dog Coins during exploration. They can appear in treasure chests, Scrap Piles, and other points of interest. But then again, they are inconsistent.
If you want to farm Dog Coins reliably, then your best option is to catch Mimogs (Pal No. 144).
I specifically mentioned capturing them, as doing so guarantees that you get a Dog Coin instead of downright defeating it. This is significantly more efficient if you’re aiming to farm a lot of Dog Coins.
The only problem is that Mimogs are naturally skittish and will run away as soon as they detect you.
Where and How to Catch Them

Mimogs can spawn across the main world, including later-game regions like Sakurajima and Feybreak. You can also find a bunch of them around the World Tree, as shown above.
Now for the hard part, which is actually catching them.
Mimogs are naturally skittish, and as soon as it spots you, it’ll attempt to flee at high speed. To prevent it from escaping, I recommend bringing a Sphere Launcher if you have one. It greatly improves your capture rate and lets you catch Mimogs before they can get away.
You can just catch it with normal Pal Spheres, of course, but having the Sphere Launcher just makes things a lot easier.
Also, make sure to ride a fast flying Pal, such as Jetragon, so you can quickly chase the Mimog if it starts running.
Just keep doing this process until you get enough Dog Coins for your needs.
Conclusion
Catching wild Mimogs is still the fastest and most reliable way to farm Dog Coins in Palworld 1.0. While you can still obtain them from points of interest, relying on random loot is far less efficient.
Also worth noting that catching them is the only thing that works, as they won’t give any Dog Coins if you choose to butcher them.
