Nightstar Sand is a mid to late game crafting material in Palworld 1.0 that you need for some of the better gear unlocked around level 56 and above. It is used in recipes for things like the Beam Sword, Advanced Bow, and Metal Detector, so once you start pushing into that tier of crafting you will need a reliable supply of it.

The catch is that it cannot be bought from any merchant and it only appears at night, which means every farming run is tied to the in-game day cycle. The good news is that once you know where to look, it is not hard to collect in decent quantities per run. In this guide, I will cover the best locations to farm it efficiently so you are not wandering beaches hoping to stumble across enough.

Best Nightstar Farming Locations

Nightstar Sand only spawns on beaches that appear as a light pink color on the map. These are mid to high level areas so make sure you are geared up appropriately before heading out. You do not want to be caught off guard by high level Pals while you are trying to farm.

The first farming area is around coordinates -1207, -865 which I have marked on the map below. The beaches in this area have a solid density of Nightstar Sand nodes and you can sweep the coastline and collect a good amount in a single night cycle if you move efficiently.

The second solid farming area sits around coordinates -813, -826, also marked in the image below. This stretch of beach is another reliable spot and is worth including in your farming route to maximize how much you collect per night.

Nightstar Sand appears as a yellow glowing patch on the sand and only shows up at night, so make sure you time your runs accordingly. No tools are needed to collect it. Simply walk up to a glowing node and interact with it to pick it up.

One thing worth knowing is that there have been reports of a bug causing the nodes to not glow properly, making them very difficult to spot. If you arrive at the right location at night and cannot see any glowing patches, try restarting your game before assuming the nodes are not there.

That’s It

That is everything you need to know about farming Nightstar Sand in Palworld 1.0. Since it only appears at night, planning an efficient route between these beach locations will help you collect much more in a single run. After a few farming trips, you should have more than enough Nightstar Sand for your late game crafting needs.

Once you’ve reached this stage of the game, you’ll also want to start collecting higher rarity blueprints for your weapons and equipment. Check out my guide on how to farm Endgame Schematics in Palworld 1.0 to learn where to find them and the best ways to farm them efficiently.
