The carnivores you can tame in ARK: Survival Ascendedare feisty and constantly get into fights, so you should know how to heal them quickly if you want to keep them alive.
Most carnivores have very high maximum Health, but extremely slow natural Health regeneration. It can feel like it takes forever for them to heal naturally…
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to heal and speed up the recovery process for all your tamed carnivores.
The first, and most basic one, is to just walk up to the carnivore you wish to heal and interact with it. This will bring up their inventory.
Now, just give them Raw Meat! They will automatically eat it to heal.
Every piece of Raw Meat will heal them for 5 HP. In the grand scheme of things, it’s a very low amount per unit. Especially when some carnivores have thousands of max HP!
On the other hand, Raw Meat is extremely commonplace in ARK, which makes it very low-cost. It might take a while to heal certain creatures to full, but it’s an easy method.
If possible, you can also use Raw Prime Meat if you wish. It heals 50 HP per unit but is much rarer. It’s up to you if you think it’s worth using, though!
The second method is to use the healing abilities of the Snow Owl and Daeodon.
Snow Owls’ main ability is the Freezing Heal. Using it will heal but also freeze anything near the Snow Owl.
If you use the ability as you dismount the Snow Owl, the Snow Owl will use its ability automatically until it runs out of stamina. This can heal up any tamed creatures in a flash!
The Daeodon, on the other hand, has a passive healing aura. It will heal itself and any friendly creatures nearby as long as it has Food.
If you have either of these creatures, using their abilities is far faster than force-feeding.
Nonetheless, now you know the two best methods to heal carnivores quickly in ARK. Your creatures will have nothing to fear now!
