ARK Fjordur: Where to Find Fungal Wood and Aberration Mushrooms

Both Fungal Wood and Aberration Mushrooms are important resources you use to craft various items. Fungal Wood basically functions as normal wood, and any item that requires normal wood can also make use of Fungal Wood as an alternative.

Meanwhile, Aberration Mushrooms are used for taming various Aberration creatures, specifically shoulder pets. These include the Bulbdog, Shinehorn, Glowtail, and Featherlight. Since these creatures are also in Fjordur, that means you have to gather lots of these mushrooms if you want to tame any of them.

In this guide, I’ll show you where you can find both Aberration Mushrooms and Fungal Wood.

Where to Find Fungal Wood and Aberration Mushrooms in ARK Fjordur

Fungal Wood isn’t that hard to find, though you’ll have to go underwater to farm this resource. Specifically, the best farming spot I can recommend is on coordinates 66.0, 79.0. There, you just have to dive down, and you should immediately see lots of fungal wood.

You can distinguish them by their huge mushroom-cap-like appearance. As with normal wood, you need to use your hatchet to harvest as many as possible. Since you can find lots of these mushroom-cap-looking wood, you should be able to get as many fungal woods as you’d like.

As for the Aberration mushrooms, you can find plenty of them in the Swamp biome which is the huge island on the middle left portion of the map. Specifically, you can harvest a lot of these mushrooms on coordinates 45.1, 15.5.
