Wingardium Leviosa is a mainstay spell in the Harry Potter series, so of course it’s available in Hogwarts Legacy.

Wizards and witches who master this spell can move items around with their magic as if it were Telekinesis.

In this short guide, we’ll tell you how to learn and use this useful spell.

To use Wingardium Leviosa, you must first learn it. You should automatically unlock it as you go through the game’s main story.

More precisely, it’s obtained by completing Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1 main quest.

To complete this quest, you must first go to Dogweed and Deathcap. Purchase a Venomous Tentacula and a Mandrake.

Now you need to use the Venomous Tentacula. You can use it anywhere you want; it doesn’t really matter. You can even throw it in the middle of the shop if you so wish.

Next, you need to find a group of enemies. Any group of enemies will do, but we recommend making sure there are at least 3 enemies.

Let the enemies get close to you and use the Mandrake. It will let out a piercing scream, dealing damage to all of them.

With that done, you just need to return to Professor Garlick’s Herbology class.

Learning and Using Wingardium Leviosa

After speaking with the professor, follow the on-screen prompts to learn the Wingardium Leviosa spell.

You can now use Wingardium Leviosa anytime you want, though it’s only applicable to objects. You can’t use it on living beings.

When you cast it on an item, you can control its position with your movement. Additionally, you can rotate items by holding the D-Pad buttons. On PC, you can use the F, V, Q, and E keys instead.

This is a utility spell, so it’s mostly meant to solve puzzles. However, clever players have been able to use it to slam objects against enemies, dealing insane damage!
