Zenless Zone Zerois the new ARPG gacha game on the block. It is set to be released on 4th July, 2024. It will be available on a lot of different platforms such as PC, iOS, Android and the PS5.
In this guide, I will be mentioning a couple of things that you need to know before the game officially lunches. This also includes the free rewards which you can miss out on if you are not aware of them.
Everything You Need To Know
Let’s kick things off with the free rewards. Luckily for players, the game is offering a huge amount of free rewards on launch in multiple ways. Some of these rewards can be lost if you do not actually get them.
Pre-Registration Rewards
The game is hosting pre-registrations and has rewards set on multiple milestones. The last milestone being 40 million registrations. Surprisingly enough, it got hit a while back and the total registrations have now reached a staggering amount of more than 47 million players.
If you haven’t registered yet then I urge you to do so. You will get the following rewards when the game launches:
30K Denny
20 Master Tape
5 Boopon
1 Agent Corin
Pre-Release Special Program Rewards
A couple of days ago, a special pre-release program was held by the developers of Zenless Zone Zero. They talked about different aspects and mechanics of the game. If you haven’t seen the program, I suggest you check it out.
More importantly, at the end of the program, they announced a bunch of free rewards. To get these rewards, you need to redeem a code inside the game when it launches. The code is “ZZZFREE100“. Keep in mind that the code will be valid from 07/04 – 10:00 to 07/11 – 23:59 (UTC+8).
You will get the following rewards after redeeming the code through an in-game mail:
30K Dennies
300 Polychrome
2 Senior Investigator Log
3 W-Engine Energy Module
Starting Character
When you load up the game for the first time, you will have to choose a main character. You will be given a choice between two siblings: Wise and Belle.
After selecting one of the characters, the other character will become non-playable and will act as your assistant throughout the game. What makes this interesting is that you will be able to talk and interact with them so that is good.
Tip: If you like Belle then you should select Wise as this will let you experience more of Belle’s dialogs and vice versa if you like Wise more.
Gacha + Pity System | Signal Search
In this game, the banners are called Channels and the act of drawing is called Signal Searching. Now there are two main types of channels: Standard and Limited ones. The standard channel is permanent while the limited channels will be available for a specific amount of days.
The limited channels are further divided into 3 categories which are for Agents, W-Engines and Bangboo. More information about these channels (banners) and how the gacha and pity system work for them is given below.
Other than the Agent and W-Engine banners, there is also a Bangboo banner. And what makes this banner special is that it requires a different type of currency to draw called Boopon. You can not get Boopon from the signal shop.
You can get Boopon from the Hollow Zero event and also from other events (such as log-in or check-in events).
Hollow Zero Event
The Hollow Zero is going to be the major launch event. And to make things interesting, the developers have created a special overworld map for the event. Their main focus for this is to increase the replayability of the event.
Resonia
In the Hollow Zero event, you will be able to get power-ups called Resonia. They offer buffs and have a lot of different types. And you can also combine 4 Resonia of the same type to create an Advanced Resonium which gives even greater buffs.

Now let’s get you familiar with the different factions that will be part of the game and the agents under each faction.

If you are a F2P player, you might be wondering which agent to go for when the game launches. Well to help you out with that, we have a guide in which the best F2P agents for different types of F2P players are mentioned.
Whether it's the old classics like Final Fantasy, Advance Wars on the GBA, JRPGs like Persona 4 Golden, Disgaea on the Vita or mainstream titles like Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption 2, Haider has played them all.
Even with 200+ titles under his belt, his passion for gaming is just as strong as it was a decade ago. Writing has given him the chance to spread this passion with others.
