Does Palworld Have Crossplay Between Xbox & PC?

Palworld is a brand new Pokemon-inspired open-world survival game where you collect and tame creatures to help you brave the massive world.

The game comes out this January on PC through Steam and Gamepass. It is also releasing on Xbox One, Series S, and Series X.

As the game supports multiplayer co-op gameplay at launch, the question on everyone’s minds is about Palworld’s crossplay support. Will you be able to play with your friends across other platforms? Let’s find out.

Does the Game Have Crossplay Between Xbox & PC?

Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Palworld has been confirmed to not have any crossplay support between Xbox consoles and PCs.

This also means that players who have purchased the game on Steam can not play the game with players who obtained it through Xbox Game Pass.

At least you can play it solo if your friends are on different platforms.

However, the developers claim that they are actively working to get the crossplay feature out as soon as possible.

As with most modern releases, Palworld will be receiving ongoing updates after the launch of the game.  

Another question that may arise is the question of cross-platform progression. This is also not a feature present in the game at launch. Accounts made to a specific platform will have their progress tied to the same platform.

With all this in mind, be sure to be mindful of what platform and store you use to purchase the game.

With progression bound to the current platform, it would be wise to get the game on the most practical platform for yourself. If you have friends playing, you have to agree on one platform to play together. Someone has to compromise!

In a game that promotes multiplayer co-op, it’s unfortunate to see a lack of crossplay at launch. Players look forward to the feature being added in the future. Have some faith!
