Surviving the Aftermath is a great game… unless you’re one of the users stuck on a loading screen and looking for a fix!
Don’t fret, though, the potential solutions to this obnoxious bug are actually extremely simple.
In this article, we’ll tell you how to fix the annoying loading screen bug so you can start surviving a post-apocalyptic aftermath.
How To Fix Stuck On Loading Screen
Surviving the Aftermath seems to get stuck on the loading screen for only two reasons, so it’s relatively easy to fix.
The first reason is that it’s waiting for the Paradox launcher to pop up and ask you to link your Steam or Epic Games account to your Paradox account.
However, the user never sees a Paradox launcher pop-up at all, making the game appear stuck!
This is extremely easy to fix, however: just don’t launch the game through a desktop shortcut.
Instead, find the game in your Steam or Epic Games library and double-click on it to launch it directly. This should prevent any odd shenanigans that cause the Paradox launcher pop-up to not appear.
If that still didn’t work, however, your game might have corrupted files.
Usually, this is solved by just verifying the download cache through Steam or the Epic Games launcher. For some reason, though, this appears to not work for Surviving the Aftermath.
As such, we instead recommend that you completely uninstall the game and download it again. This seems to guarantee that any corrupted files are repaired, though we know it’s a painful process!
To uninstall the game on Steam, right-click on it and open the “Manage” section. Now just click on “Uninstall”, as shown in our example image.
The process in the Epic Games launcher is extremely similar, too. Just find Surviving the Aftermath within your library and right-click on it, then click on “Uninstall”.
Now you just have to redownload the game and it should hopefully work!
We hope these fixes worked for you and allowed you to get past the stuck loading screen in Surviving the Aftermath. Good luck facing this brutal management sim!
