Edit Power Plan
Type “Edit power plan” in your Windows search bar and open it on the control panel. Open the Power Options tab and select the High-Performance option.
Close the window and try to relaunch the game.
Update Drivers
Click the search bar and type “Device Manager”. Open the Device Manager on the control panel and click Display Adapters. Select your Display Adapter and right-click Update Driver.
Select Search Automatically for Drivers and wait for your device to finish the search. If there are any new drivers, install them and then close the screen.
Relaunch your game and see if the FPS improves.
Game Mode Settings
Click the search bar and type “Game mode settings”. Open the best match and turn on Game Mode.
Click Gaming and open the Xbox Game Bar. Turn it off and close the window. Relaunch the game.
Close All Unused Applications
Open your Task manager by pressing alt+ctrl+delete on your keyboard. End all the programs that you’re currently not using to free up your CPU and improve your device’s performance.
Disable applications that you don’t use on startup and try to launch the game.
Update Windows
Check on your settings if your Windows is up to date. If it isn’t, download and install all missing updates.
Registry Editor
Type Registry Editor on the Windows search and click HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Click System and then GameConfigStore. Right-click GameDVR_Enable and click Modify.
Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, open Software, and then Microsoft. Open Policy Manager, Default, and click Application Management.
Open AllowGameDVR and right click value and click Modify. Put a value of 0 and close the window. Relaunch the game.
If these fail to install, just repeat the steps and it should eventually be successful. Install three of these and try launching the game.
Game Settings
You can check the settings of the game and open the Display options. Try to turn ON/OFF V Sync and see whether either option makes a difference for you.
If No Solution Works
If none of the above solutions work for you, unfortunately, that means that the game performance is just terrible. Many players have even reported that despite having RTX 40 series graphics cards, the game simply won’t run smoothly.
