“Stirred Against the Storm” is the first challenge you can take on as part of the new Boreal Flurry minigame in Genshin Impact 4.8.
You can find it in the time-limited Simulanka region and it’s a charming little shooter minigame. Fly through the skies, shoot down targets, and get a high score!
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to unlock the Boreal Flurry minigame and how to complete its first stage: Stirred Against the Storm.
Stirred Against the Storm | Genshin Impact 4.8 Guide
“Stirred Against the Storm” is Stage 1 for the Boreal Flurry minigame available in the Simulanka region. To start it, you should first talk with Clanche. They’re a unique flying squirrel you can find in the Forest of Blessings area of Simulanka, marked on the map above.
After talking with Clanche, you’ll be able to finally challenge the “Stirred Against the Storm” challenge. You just have to go to its starting location, which we’ve marked on the map above for you.
Once you reach the area, you should spot an interactable totem like the one shown above. Approach it and touch it to begin the challenge!
How to Play Boreal Flurry | Stirred Against the Storm Guide
Boreal Flurry is basically an on-rails shooter minigame. Your character will fly through the air automatically. You can use the direction buttons to control their position in flight but you can’t speed up or slow down.
Aside from that, you can press two different attack buttons for two different types of shots as follows:
Speedy Shots – The leftmost attack button on the bottom right corner of the screen. Hold it down to fire continuous shots that deal low damage.
Charged Shots – The rightmost attack button on the bottom right corner of the screen. Hold it down to charge up a single strong shot. They’re also good for taking multiple weak targets at once.
Each shot you fire will drain your Energy somewhat, which is the purple bar next to your character. Don’t worry, it recharges gradually while you’re not firing! But that does mean it’s a good idea to stop firing when there aren’t any targets.
Speaking of targets, you will find three different types of targets in Stirred Against the Storm. Your goal is to shoot as many of them as possible to earn points. These are the targets you’ll encounter in this stage:
Yellow Targets – Basic weak targets, they give 50 Points when destroyed. A single Speedy Shot can break them.
Blue Targets – Stronger targets, they give 100 Points when destroyed. You can only break them with Charged Shots.
Royal Slimes – Extremely resilient, they give 200 Points when destroyed. The easiest way to take them down is to hit them with 6 Speedy Shots. They disappear if you don’t break them fast enough.
Crashing into any of these targets will deduct points from your current score, so make sure to break them all before you fly into them. But, what do we want the points for? For the rewards, of course!
