In this game, you can explore the world and find treasures while you ride him, allowing you to get rare loot by just enjoying yourself.
While riding Chocobo is very straightforward, some controls are much more confusing and harder to wrap around.
Treasure hunting is one of those activities that might confuse you, thanks to the controls. Here, we will explain to you step-by-step how to use your Chocobo for treasure hunting.
How to Find Treasure With Chocobo in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
After you unlock your first Chocobo from Bill, you can search for the several treasures scattered on the map of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. For example, you could find one in the grasslands, near the Chocobo Stop. W
hen you are close to a treasure, you will see a question mark on top of Chocobo’s head. This is your treasure cue. Once this happens, you need to:
You will see a “Scent button” or the Up button in your D-Pad at the bottom of the left corner of your screen.
If you tab it, you will make Chocobo react, but you must hold it until you see an arrow. The arrow will point you in the right direction.
After following the arrow, when you’re near the treasure, you will see a blue trail. You can follow the trail and reach the spot where the treasure is hidden.
Now, before you can dig for the items, you need to move around a little, so your Chocobo can find the exact spot. If you take too long before digging, you will need to do the process again.
When you are already in the right place, press down on your D-Pad to dig the ground.
Most of the loot you will find will be materials for craft items, but you might find rare gear and other juicy goodies.
Tracking treasures and special items with your Chocobo can save you a lot of time when farming materials.
If you are lucky, after a while, you can even get an amazing piece of armor or a legendary weapon. Some quests also requires that you search with your mount for the items the quest giver ask from you.
