Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden: How to Unlock the Rifle

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is set in the late 1600s, in which players assume control of two banishers. After setting foot in New Eden, players soon learn of the dreaded Nightmare haunting the area.

It soon becomes clear to both banishers that they’re simply defenseless against the powerful entity. That said, there is a weapon that will prove to be useful in the fight against the Nightmare, which is the rifle. However, you’ll have to unlock the item first.

How to Unlock the Rifle

While treasure chests may be the key to acquiring new items in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, you’ll have to unlock other items along the journey. One of the items that is a must-have, is the rifle.

To obtain the rifle, you will first need to reach the Dark Woods storyline and assist Kate with her issues involving the blacksmith and her cook.

Complete the Quests

To access the rifle you must complete two quests for Kate. The quests are straightforward and only require you to gather all the clues. Once that’s done, you will have to make two decisions that will contribute to Resurrection or Antea’s Ascent.

Once you are done with both quests, return to Kate and talk to her. Then, you must go back to your shelter and wait for Thickskin to return.

After meeting Thickskin, she will give you a new quest to kill the beast that has been haunting the dark woods. But before she sends you on your journey, she’ll tell you to go speak to Kate and get the rifle from her.

Go to Kate’s location and interact with her. You must then ask her for the rifle. At first, she’ll be angry with Thickskin’s request. But once you’ve completed the conversation with Kate, she will give you a rifle.
