With so many stats to pay attention to in Palworld, no one can blame you if you can’t manage to understand which ones are the most important.
There are combat stats such as Attack and Defense, as you might expect. But there are also others, such as the “Suitable Work” stat!
In this guide, we tell you which stats are the most important for you to understand as you capture new Pals.
Most Important Stats to Understand
Palworld might wear its Pokémon inspiration on its sleeve, but the combat-related stats aren’t actually the most important for your Pals.
No, instead, you should focus on the “Suitable Work” stat, also known as “Work Suitability”.
After all, your Pals will be primarily tasked with various types of resource-gathering and processing. There are hundreds of Pals to collect and some of these Pals specialize in work-related areas in the game.
Combat duties are, instead, mostly reserved for your own character. You’re the one who gets to carry a gun, so you’ll be the main fighter!
Suitable Work can be broken into different categories, with each one having a Level. The level for the category primarily depends on the type of Pal, and most Pals can only do a few types of work types.
Also, work categories that are greyed out in a Pal’s stat sheet are the ones that the Pal can’t do at all. The ones they can do will be highlighted in white and have a Level next to them.
Every Work Type Category
Now, these are the various Suitable Work categories currently in the game:
Kindling – Allows the Pal to provide heat to buildings.
Planting – Used when farming, allows the Pal to plant seeds.
Handiwork – Exclusive to Pals that actually have hands. Allows them to perform manual labor, such as crafting and building.
Lumbering – The Pal’s ability to chop down trees for lumber.
Medicine Production – A Pal’s knowledge of the medicinal arts, allows them to craft healing items.
Transport – A Pal’s efficiency when transporting goods within a base.
Watering – Almost entirely exclusive to Water-type Pals. Allows them to water plants on farms.
Generating Electricity – As the name implies, it’s the Pal’s ability to produce electricity to power up buildings. Almost entirely exclusive to Electric-types.
Gathering – A Pal’s ability to reap crops from farms.
Mining – A Pal’s ability to break down rocks to obtain ores and minerals.
Cooling – A Pal’s ability to provide cooling, mostly used for refrigerators.
Farming – Unlike its name implies, it’s not your Pal’s ability to tend farms. Instead, it’s your Pal’s ability to be farmed when assigned to a Ranch. For example, Lamballs’ can be farmed for their wool.
It’s far too early to know which Pals will be the best in each category or which work type is the most important.
However, it is most certain that you need to pay close attention to every Pal’s Suitable Work stats!
Aim to have a nice spread of Pals, as you will need every type of worker possible if you want to succeed in this game.
But well, at least now you know what stat to look for when you aim to capture Pals for work!
