Roots of Pacha is a game that focuses heavily on humanity’s connection to nature. As such, you will be expected to tame animals to keep them as pets and mounts.
Animals will also provide a variety of resources, making them a great source of certain materials such as fur!
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to tame any animal you encounter in Roots of Pacha.
How to Tame Animals in Roots of Pacha
You can tame animals once you get the Flute, which you should get naturally within the first few in-game days by completing main quests.
The flute will let you “Attune” yourself to the animals, which is key to taming them.
With the flute in hand, approach any animal in the game and choose to Attune. This will start a short rhythm minigame.
Notice the central circles where the animal’s icon is? Circles will appear from the outer edges and approach these central circles.
You have to time your button presses with the lighter outer circle in the center. Hit enough right notes successfully and the attunement will be completed!
The animal is now tamed and you can invite them into your house as a pet, provided you have the space to do so. Upgrade your house if you don’t!
You can also mount some of the animals you tame, such as goats and horses. You don’t even need to get a saddle, either! Just hop on and you’re able to ride them. It’s a lot faster than being on foot, too.
As you might imagine, animals will also provide certain resources to you. This varies depending on the animal. For example, ostriches give you feathers and eggs, while boars give you fur.
That’s everything there is to know about taming animals! Go out there and start playing the flute for all the charming critters you can encounter in Roots of Pacha.
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
