There’s a slew of weapons, both ranged and melee, that you can obtain in Dead Island 2.
As you go through the main campaign, you’ll run across weapons of all rarities, starting from Common all the way to Legendary.
That said, Legendary weapons are some of the best weapons you can get in the game. They’re basically unique, named weapons that you can only find once in your playthrough. This means that in the event you lost them, they’ll be gone forever.
In this guide, we’ll show you the locations of all of the Legendary weapons in the game.
Where to Find All Legendary Weapons in Dead Island 2
It’s worth noting that you won’t be able to come across legendary weapons early on in the game. They’re mainly endgame items, and they will only start appearing once you finished the game’s main story.
There are a total of 8 legendary weapons scattered across different locations throughout the game. Let’s have a look at where you can find each of them.
Body Count
First off, we have Body Count which is essentially a legendary AK-47 rifle. That said, this is a very endgame weapon that you can only get after completing the game’s main story.
Once you have completed the game, you need to go back to the Military Barracks in Venice Beach and look for a zombie named LT. Ford. You’ll find the zombie inside the barracks; kill him and loot his notes which will start the [REDACTED] quest.
Complete the quest until you obtain a key from a zombie. Go inside the nearby container van and break the crates. At the back should be a supply chest. Open it to obtain the weapon.
Krakatoa
Next is Krakatoa, a legendary axe that you can get by completing the Missing: Steve quest. To start the quest, you need to head to the Sterling Hotel in Ocean Avenue.
Once inside, head to the board to collect this Lost and Found quest. This quest will send you on a hunt for Steve who you’ll eventually find in Roxanne’s house at Beverly Hills.
You’ll immediately receive the weapon upon completing the quest.
The One
The One is hands down the best sword in the game, and you’ll be able to find it by completing the Beacon of Hope side quest in Hollywood Boulevard.
However, you first need to complete “The Terror of Sound Stage 7” which is another side quest that you can only receive after completing the main story.
This will then unlock the Beacon of Hope quest which will reward you with the weapon upon completion.
Party Starter
The Party Starter is a pair of knuckles that will set zombies on fire each time you kill or knock them down.
You can get this upon completing the Drunk and Disorderly quest in Ocean Avenue. To start the quest, head to the Lotusville Mall and look for the door with a golden 1 label. Get inside it to pick up the note that will start the quest.
The quest will have you search and kill a bunch of named zombies. After killing the last target, it will then drop a key which you can use on a white SUV at the back of the hotel.
Simply pop open the trunk using the key and you should get the Party Starter.
The Brutalizer
To obtain The Brutalizer, you need to look for Francesca within Beverly Hills. She will then give you a quest called Body Art: The Visionary where she’ll task you with bringing ten zombie parts.
If you haven’t received the quest, make sure you completed “The Ballad of Rikky Rex” and “The Giant Slayer” quests first.
Once you have fulfilled Francesca’s request, she will then hand over the weapon.
Blood Rage
The Blood Rage is a legendary weapon that’s making a comeback from the first Dead Island game. To obtain it, you will need to complete the Fool’s Gold quest which activates upon killing a zombie named Dante.
You start the quest by ransacking the locker which is on the right corner of the garage. After that, simply follow the quest’s objectives until you obtain the code for the safe containing the weapon.
Big Shot
Next, we have Big Shot which you can get by completing the “It’s Not Your Fault” side quest by Luciana. Simply head to Emma’s Mansion in Bel Air to talk to her and start the quest.
This quest will require you to collect seismometer data which you should then bring to Luciana. After giving her the seismometer data, she’ll then give you the weapon as the reward.
Emma’s Wrath
Finally, we have Emma’s Wrath which will be the first legendary weapon you can get your hands on.
All you have to do is complete the game’s main storyline, with the last quest called Hollywood Ending.
You will immediately receive the weapon upon completing the quest.
