The Planet Crafter: Secret Fusion Reactor Location

This guide will walk you through the process of finding and making use of the fusion reactor in The Planet Crafter. Found within a wrecked ship, this fusion reactor requires an item to activate it. We’ll tell you everything you need to know.

Secret Fusion Reactor Location in The Planet Crafter

First off, much like with other secret The Planet Crafter locations, we’ll be using the coordinates found in the bottom left corner of the HUD. These will help us find locations easier. We’ll be using the first 3 sets of numbers, such as 200:100:1000.

Now, the fusion reactor is an end-game secret found in The Planet Crafter. Added with the 0.4.004 Early Access version of the game, fusion reactors are used to open up rooms within wrecks. Make sure to explore wrecks properly, as there might be more than one and you might just discover a new secret.

For this guide, we’ll let you know of the fusion reactor found on the wrecked ship near the Sandfalls. This is a ship that’s pretty close to the starting point and you might have even have already found and explored it by now. However, even if you found the fusion reactor, you might not have been able to make use of it. We’ll tell you what to do in that case.

Fusion Energy Cell

To make use of the Fusion Reactor found within the wreckage, you’ll need a Fusion Energy Cell. This is the last unlockable in the game currently and requires you to reach a Terraformation rating of 578.56 GTi.

Once you unlock the blueprint, you can craft the Fusion Energy Cell at Advanced Craft Stations. It requires 1 Super Alloy, 2 Osmium and 3 Pulsar Quartz. Super alloy is a fairly common material. Osmium is mostly found within the secret caves you can find after the ice melt. Pulsar Quartz is mostly found within wreckages and crates.

Finding the Fusion Reactor and Using the Cell

When you finally have obtained a Fusion Energy Cell, you’ll want to head over to the wreckage at 355:131:946. This is close to the starting point, which is where most players build their bases generally, so it might be easy to reach for you.

Exploring this ship, heading further to the back and to your left, you’ll eventually come across the fusion reactor. You have to interact with it. This will open an inventory window. Now you just need to insert the Fusion Energy Cell into it. This will open another section of the ship, which generally has fantastic endgame loot for you to grab. So double back and explore the newly opened sections of the ship for your reward.

Note that the energy cell isn’t consumed when put into the reactor. Also, the reactor doesn’t generate energy or anything like that for you, it just opens the doors. After you’re done looting the wreck, you might want to take your battery back in case you find fusion reactors in other wreckage.
