Genshin Impact has won the hearts and minds of many in the gacha community, some goes for the others too! If you’re not trying to mooch off from the pity system then there’s a good chance that you’re on the lookout for a rerun. Yes they do happen and even limited characters are no stranger to reruns, especially after a few updates have passed. Since Genshin Impact introduced several new characters last year it might be a good decision to take a look at who’s worth pulling again.
Genshin Impact 5-Star RERUN Characters Worth Pulling For In 2023
The characters listed will only include those that were released last 2022. We’ll go through all of them in no particular order but we do recommend getting all three if you can!
Yelan
It’s no surprise that Yelan is on this list as she’s one of the best Hydro characters you’ll ever use next to Xinqiu. She functions similarly as her Elemental Burst is an ability that’s heavily relied on. Hydro characters of course are used often for Hyperbloom teams, this means that Yelan can fit well into teams that include Vaporize and Freeze builds.
Now why should you pull for Yelan if you already happen to have Xinqui? Well one of the reasons is how she focuses more on damage due to her 4th Ascension passive (A4) which gives her a significant damage buff given that her burst is active. The longer her burst remains, the more punishment you’ll be able to dish out!
She can also go on the offensive thanks to her Breakthrough charge shots that can fire at the start of a battle. If that’s not enough you can also use her skill for travelling if you’re out looking for materials.
Nahida
Ah yes, the God of Sumeru. Nahida is a pretty versatile option thanks to her abilities as a damage dealer or backline support. The most vital aspect to her role is her elemental skill, you can use this to mark nearby enemies and link them together for massive amounts of Dendro damage.
The cooldown for the skill damage is 2.5 seconds which is equal to you being able to constantly infuse Dendro to your targets because every time you trigger a reaction all marked enemies will be slapped left and right with more Dendro.
Her Dendro application has an uptime of 100% which means that anyone marked will always have the status on them. You still have to apply the mark from time to time though. However, her skill lasts at least 25 seconds and you can freely reuse it after a 6 second cooldown. Basically you will always have her elemental skill ready.
3. Nilou
When it comes to synergy and team builds Nilou might not be the first thing you think of as she comes off as situational and restrictive. Those limitations can be her strongpoint especially if you have Nahida with you.
One of her strengths comes from her 1st Ascension passive (A1) as this lets you create a special bloom called Bountiful Cores. You do this by applying both Dendro and Hydro after casting her Elemental Skill combo.
As for her elemental skill it has two stances, one will transform all her attacks to Hydro turning her into the driver of the team. Remember to use Elemental Skill bonus artifacts! Her second stance leaves a ring that won’t deal any damage but will infuse Hydro to any enemies who touch it, turning her into an enabler as you can swap her back and forth with your Dendro driver, which should be Nahida!
Since you’ll only have one Hydro character it’s highly likely that you will be taking advantage of the Hydro Resonance which also increases Nilou’s HP. And there you have it! Now you know which characters you need to pull for this year once their rerun banners are out. This doesn’t mean the other 5-Stars are bad mind you, at the end of the day you should still roll for the waifu or husbando of your choice. Yes, those are definitely words. Good luck out there!
Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
