Torchlight Infinite: The Best Build for Beginners

Torchlight: Infinite is a beginner-friendly ARPG, and you can make it even more beginner-friendly by using beginner-friendly builds.

Torchlight: Infinite is the spiritual successor to the Torchlight franchise. As an action RPG, it has most of the mechanics that are typical to any ARPG. However, there are a handful of stuff that can be overwhelming for beginners, especially when they reach the endgame.

To help with that, I have compiled some of the best builds that any Torchlight beginner can easily pick up on.

The Best Build for Beginners in Torchlight Infinite

We’ll be covering three beginner-friendly builds that will help you take on the content of the game from the early to the endgame stages. Credits to Tenkiei for showcasing these builds. You can find a more in-depth breakdown of the builds in his video.

Whirlwind Rehan

This is your typical spin-to-win build that focuses on the Berserker archetype. As for the build, we’ll be going for fire conversion to make for easier gearing as it lets you ignore enemy resistances. This allows you to maximize your damage and your time since you don’t have to worry about enemy resistance in the game.

As for the skill itself, whirlwind is pretty much your spin-to-win skill, even in other ARPGs. So it’s a no-brainer in this case. Not only that, but you can also keep on moving while spinning at the same time. This makes for really smooth and fast gameplay, especially if you’re clearing maps.

It’s also really beginner-friendly as it doesn’t rely on too many mechanics to be effective. All you have to do is hold down your Whirlwind button and start wrecking enemies along the way.

Gemma Flame Jet

Sometimes, running a melee build can be tough for beginners. If that’s the case, then you can go for the Gemma Flame Jet build instead. This one offers both offensive and defensive capabilities as well as a pretty straightforward playstyle.

Similar to the whirlwind build, the Gemma Flame Jet doesn’t require a lot of investment when it comes to gearing either. The build relies on the Flame Jet skill which causes a targeted area on the ground to burst forth and spew flames and molten rocks toward your enemies.

It’s a really simple playstyle that doesn’t come with a lot of risks. After all, you simply have to target an area on the ground and let the skill do its thing right after. Then, you can just run around the battlefield and avoid enemies that try to get close.

Moto Synthetic Army

If you’re a fan of letting your minions do the work for you, then I would highly recommend the Moto Synthetic Army build. This build essentially allows you to play solo and take on maps without inviting other players over.

Since you have an army of minions to take care of your enemies, you can just sit back and relax on the sidelines. This can be pretty boring for most players, but for some, this might just be the ultimate build for them.

This is the closest you can get to a Necromancer in the game.

Brought into the world of gaming by the time he was 10, Argie knew that gaming will bring him countless hours of fun, a thing that has never changed even up to this day. His passion for games is apparent in the articles he write, and as an expert in the genre, being able to share what he's learned, discovered, and accomplished to his fellow gamers is such an amazing opportunity.
