Currently, the beta for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is available to all Playstation players and other platforms that bought the Early Access. With this, more players that have anticipated the game can finally get their hands on the game. Not to worry if you just heard of it, the beta is going to open to all players from September 24 to 26.
There is a piece of new equipment called the Drill Charge, and we are going to tell you all about it.
How Does the Drill Charge Work in COD Modern Warfare 2
The game modes that you can currently play in the beta of Modern Warfare 2 are Team Deathmatch, Domination, Prisoner Rescue, Knock Out, Search and Destroy, Invasion, Hardpoint, and Ground War. You can play with any loadout you want and learn all about the game before its official launch.
There are also new equipment introduced in the game, such as the Drill Charge, a throwable item.
Using the Drill Charge in COD Modern Warfare 2
The Drill Charge in Modern Warfare 2 can be burrowed into any surface, and comes out on the other side as an explosion.
The item is useless when you throw it to the ground, it is better to throw it on the wall, or on the ceiling if there is an enemy above you. The maximum range of the Drill Charge is 5 meters: 4 meters for the burrowing and traveling, and 1 meter from the surface it emerges from.
So, if you throw the Drill Charge on a 5.50-meter wall, it’s still going to deal damage, but it cannot kill the enemy immediately. It also inflicts damage to any kind of equipment like ammo boxes.
The Trophy Systemcan counter the Drill Charge. It can stick directly to enemies and the deployable cover.
As the game is still in its beta stage, we have not yet gathered enough intel for the best camping locations and positions to fully utilize Drill Charge’s damage and range. For now, we know that the Drill Charge is good for clearing out buildings before heading inside.
