Madden NFL 23: How to Unlock Secret Challenges for Free Players

Madden Early Access came with a wealth of bonuses for those who pre-ordered the game, and got to play it prior to official launch on August 19^th, 2022 – those with early access that purchased the “All-Madden” Edition of the game (or have an EA Play Subscription they pay for) were able to access “secret” challenges for a limited period of time – these MUT (Madden Ultimate Team) challenges would disappear once the actual game launched. So, for those who held out or did not purchase the “All-Madden” edition, you are sadly out of luck.

Together, these challenges would award players a cumulative 23,000 coins – read on to find out the 10 special, “secret” challenges. This was how to unlock secret challenges for free players of Madden NFL ’23.

How to Unlock Secret Challenges in Madden NFL ‘23

Those that purchased Madden ahead of time, were going to have access to the “Secret” challenges, simply by just heading on over to ‘Challenges.’

These challenges were relatively straight-forward, but netting you 23,000 coins for completing them is huge in the grand scheme of things as an early boost to free players that don’t want to invest more money into the game after launch.

There are multiple difficulty options – with the ability to complete a ‘bonus’ objective as well.

These are the ‘MUT’ “secret” challenges, in addition to their bonus objective requirements.

23 For You – Players will need to gain 23 yards on the drive; bonus objective: rushing for 10 yards and not doing it more than five plays.

Winning It All – Score a touchdown; bonus objective: making it a passing touchdown and receiving 5 or more rushing yards.

12 and 23 – Gain 23 or more passing yards in six plays or less; bonus objective: obtaining the yard required in four or less players along with completing a pass in two different ways.

Going the Distance – Score 3 or greater points on the drive; bonus objective: passing for over 23 yards and rushing for over 10 yards.

Dr. Jekyll – Don’t allow a passing touchdown; bonus objective: do not allow any touchdowns at all and do not allow more than 23 rushing yards.

23 MPH – Score a rushing touchdown; bonus objective: rush for over 23 yards in six plays or less and get two or more than two first downs.

The Early Bird Special – Win the game; bonus objective: score over seven points and do not let the opponent score a touchdown.

23 Years in the Making – Score a touchdown; bonus objective: pass for over 60 yards total and pass for over 20 yards in three plays or less.

Stop the Offense – Do not allow a touchdown; bonus objective: do not allow more than 23 yards and not a single passing yard on first play.

Veintitres – Get a first down and a touchdown on the same drive; bonus objective: gain over 5 yards on the first play and a rush for over five yards total.
