Longswords are without a doubt one of the strongest weapon types in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. They haveexcellent reach,a balanced moveset, and is quite versatile.

That said, there are dozens of longswords to pick from, considering both the unique and generic ones. Plus, every weapon in this game has a different quality tier that greatly affects their stats. As such, it can be quite hard to figure out what’s the best at just a glance.

Fret not, though! Read on and we’ll tell you the 5 top longswords in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, from the worst to the best in the game.

Best 5 Longswords in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

#5 – Broad Longsword

The Broad Longsword is one of the strongest longswords you’ll come across in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and that’s before you can obtain some of the game’s rarer weapons. This is no doubt the best longsword you can get early in the game, while you’re still in the Trosky region. It’s commonly found at the Nebakov Fortress.

Ideally, though, you want to craft your own Broad Longsword. You can find its Sketch at the Trosky Castle Armory, so you can get it relatively early. Level up your Craftmanship Skill and you’ll be able to craft higher Tier variants of it, which have better stats.

Blacksmithing isn’t easy, though, so be sure to check out our Blacksmithing guide!

At Henry quality, the Broad Longsword deals 148 Stab Damage, 141 Slash Damage, and 28 Blunt Damage. Meanwhile, it offers 246 Defense and 202 Durability. It requires 16 Strength and 19 Agility to wield effectively, which makes it accessible relatively early compared to many endgame swords.

One of its biggest strengths of the Broad Longsword is its consistency. Unlike several unique weapons that require lengthy questlines, you can purchase it straight from weaponsmiths or craft with enough investment into Blacksmithing.

#4 – Master Menhart’s Longsword

You can get the Master Menhart’s Longsword as a reward for completing the “Ars Dimicatoria” side quest in Kuttenberg City. This quest will, amongst other things, require you to steal the Kuttenberg Brotherhood’s guild sword for Menhard von Frankfurt.

Complete the quest siding with him and he’ll give you the sword as a reward.

That said, the sword remains one of the best unique quest rewards in the game. It offers excellent precision and comes with 142 Stab damage, 135 Slash damage, 27 Blunt Damage, 285 Defense, and 221 Durability.

Unfortunately, it can’t be upgraded to Tier 4, which is kind of a bummer. Otherwise, it would have been an exceptionally strong longsword.

#3 – Tier IV Dueling Longsword

Next up is the good ol’ Dueling Longsword. You can ideally get this weapon up to Tier IV by smithing it yourself, though it’s quite a hard one to make. Like all other Tier IV weapons, you’ll need to level your Craftsmanship up to Level 16 and the “Martin’s Secret” Perk to be able to make it.

That said, the fact that you don’t rely on a quest or story progression makes this one pretty accessible.

At Tier IV, the Dueling Longsword comes with 159 Stab damage, 151 Slash damage, 30 Blunt damage, 272 Defense, and 221 Durability.

What separates the Dueling Longsword from many unique swords is its flexibility. Instead of waiting for a late-game quest reward, you can craft one as soon as you obtain the recipe and materials.

Its balanced moveset, decent durability, and high damage output make it especially effective against armored opponents.

#2 – Lingua Belli Longsword

Lingua Belli Longsword Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

The Lingua Belli longsword is a recent addition from the Legacy of the Forge DLC. Since it got introduced, it quickly established itself as one of the strongest weapons in the entire game.

Unlike many legendary swords that are inherited or rewarded through quests, Lingua Belli is forged by Henry himself. This makes it particularly rewarding for players who invested heavily in Blacksmithing.

At Henry quality, it boasts an incredible 163 Stab Damage, 170 Slash Damage, 33 Blunt Damage, 275 Defense, and 225 Durability.

Its biggest advantage is its exceptional slash damage, which allows it to carve through lightly armored enemies. Despite its impressive offensive capabilities, the sword remains well-balanced enough to avoid feeling sluggish during prolonged combat.

#1 – Reforged Radzig Kobyla’s Longsword

At the top of our list is the Reforged Radzig Kobyla’s longsword. While you can get this sword naturally through the game’s story, its true potential is unlocked after reforging it. You can’t miss it, so don’t worry about it!

By the point you get it, though, it’s sure to be your best bet unless you’ve already managed to craft a Tier III Broad Longsword.

Even though the introduction of new DLC weapons have somehow narrowed the gap, this longsword still remains the best all-around in its class. It got excellent damage, defense, and durability.

Not only that, but the weapon also has excellent reach, a versatile moveset, and performs well when it comes to slash and thrust attacks. Stats-wise, the Reforged Radzig Kobyla’s longsword comes with 169 Stab damage, 161 Slash damage, 32 Blunt damage, 299 Defense, and 240 Durability.

That’s the end of our list of the 5 best longswords in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Remember, you can also apply Poisons to your weapons to make them even better. It’s a good trick if you don’t mind fighting dirty!
