If you want to get an edge in battle in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, it’s a good idea to use Poisons on your swords or even on the enemy’s food pots.
There are many types of Poisons and all of them are useful to have around. Some can make enemies fall asleep, others make them unable to move, and some just do straight-up damage. You can also either apply them to your weapons or throw them in food pots. Either way, making good use of them is sure to make Henry’s life a lot easier!
In this guide, we’ll tell you how to apply Poisons to your own weapons and how to pour them into any open food pots.
How to Use Poisons on Swords & in Pots | Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
First off, let’s go over how to coat your weapons with any Poison you have. To start, just open up your Inventory menu and scroll to the “Poisons” category. Then select the Poison you wish to coat your weapon with, such as the Bane Poison.
A window will pop up and allow you to select what item to apply the Poison to. In this case, just look for the weapon of your choice, then select it and confirm your selection. You can do this to coat both melee weapons as well as ammunition, such as bolts and arrows. This method also works for Potions as well as any food you have in your inventory, of course!
The applied Poison will also be shown in the weapon’s description, for reference.
Now, as for using Poisons in food pots, the process is actually a lot simpler. First, you just need to approach the pot you wish to poison. You should see the “Pour Potion” prompt in the bottom right corner of the screen. On PC you just need to hold the E key. If you’re playing with a controller, hold A (Xbox) or X (PlayStation).
You will then get a small inventory window showing all of the items you can add to the pot. This, of course, includes any Poisons you carry. Just select the one you wish to throw into the pot and confirm it. When that’s done, you just need to wait for someone to eat from the pot! Remember, though, most NPCs only eat breakfast in the morning and no other meals.
That’s all you need to know to be able to use Poisons on swords and pots in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Learn how to use Alchemy to make even stronger Poisons for better effect!
