Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Steal the Kuttenberg Brotherhood’s Sword for Ars Dimicatoria Side Quest

The “Ars Dimicatoria” quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 requires you to steal the Kuttenberg Brotherhood’s guild sword.

Practicing swordsmanship in Kuttenberg City isn’t all that simple. To keep things short, you need to force a challenge with the Kuttenberg Brotherhood. Use their guild sword to make it look like they’re the ones offering a challenge and then accept it. Defeat them so that they stop preventing you from learning sword-fighting techniques from Menhard van Frankfurt!

To help you accomplish all of this, we’ll tell you everything you need to know to steal the Kuttenberg Brotherhood’s sword.

Steal the Kuttenberg Brotherhood’s Sword | Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 – “Ars Dimicatoria” Side Quest

For this step, you need to enter the Kuttenberg Brotherhood’s Guild Hall. To make things easier, go to the yard directly east of the guild hall itself. It’s the spot we’ve marked on the map above for you.

You’ll find a stack of logs in the yard. Use them to climb over the wall and then go west toward the guild hall building. This will allow you to skip lockpicking the main gate.

Now, you’ll need to open the door on the western side of the guild hall. One way to open it is to simply pick the lock. However, it’s a Hard level lock, so it can be quite tough if you have a low Stealth level. That said, you can check out our lockpicking tips and tricks for help.

Alternatively, you can try pickpocketing the guards around the building. Take their keys and you’ll be able to skip the lockpicking requirement entirely.

Once you manage to enter the guild hall, take the stairs to the upper floor. Be careful in case there are any guards wandering around the building.

After going up the stairs, turn around and go to the room on your right. It’ll be locked, but has an Easy level lock so it shouldn’t be too hard to pick.

When you enter the room, turn to your right and you should notice a display of swords on the wall. Grab the Guild Longsword in the center to complete the objective.
